"This was my first time at this location and was looking for some hibachi style food… you know where they cook it in front of you. Well as soon as we walked in we realized they didn’t do that but we sat down anyways.. we had already been to another hibachi place that was closed and we weren’t gonna keep looking for somewhere to eat… anyways.. the food was horrible and the service wasn’t that great at all. It took forever for anyone to come to the table when we were seated and there was only one other customer in the entire restaurant.. the food taste like it was frozen and then cooked. It had no flavor.. if it hadn’t have been for the “Yum Yum” sauce I wouldn’t have been able to eat my food. It was that nasty. My friend got chicken and scallops hibachi bento and the scallops were so chewy and over cooked. The dinner portion of my rice was the same as the lunch portion bento box. When I tried to say something to server she was talking over me and wasn’t even listening. My daughter ordered the shrimp and fried noodles and she drenched it in sauce so she could eat it. I didn’t even want to pay for my food, I hate complaining about the food after I’ve already ordered what I plan to eat but I probably should have sent the whole table of food back.. none of us liked it.. and won’t be going back. Such a waste of my money and time. So disappointing."

"'t been in years, I remembered it being very different and yet everything was the same. By same, I mean the same paint, equipment, carpet, and even decor. The large fish tank was half filled in disrepair and hopefully empty as nothing good could be living in it in it 's condition. Our waitress was okay, our Chef was a bit more lively but far from what I had remembered. Very far. We are talking samurai vs Chris Farley kind of difference. The food was pretty good, and I would say above average. The place was really worn down, uncared for and to be honest, gross in some places. I don 't know if it was still due to COVID, a change in management, or both but now, they need to change management or shut it down. Clearly the passion that built the place has left the building. The pricing is pretty silly if you compare it to a normal restaurant but it accounts for the entertainment l imagine. Trust me, it 's not that good and the entertainment is not so entertaining when you are paying those prices. It 's going to take a lot to turn this place back around. I personally would start fresh and abondon the place. I am very forgiving and understanding person, I 'm not going back. Kid-friendliness: Fun for the kids but somewhat dangerous as their face are at grill level. We had a puddle of hot oil pop and splatter my daughter 's face. She was completely fine but a good reminder. the kids had a blast."

"I hosted a group of 12 friends here, for our monthly cultural dine out, and because I 'd already tried the food out in advance and knew they 'd have an amazing experience here. It 's a pretty unassuming building in a strip mall, and the inside decor looks nondescript (until you look at the dramatic original paintings on the wall, that is). But I kid you not the bathrooms are visually impressive: spacious, warm inviting . The service was friendly and efficient. One minor issue was that if you don 't order as soon as the wait staff asks (because, well, all of your party hasn 't arrived yet), then it does take a wait for them to get back around to you. But I can 't quibble with that really, because once we ordered, the food came out quickly. I even loved the menus with colorful pictures alongside each selection. And for us picky eaters it separated the raw special rolls from the cooked special rolls. Now, about the food fresh, fresh, fresh seafood, creatively displayed meals, inventive sushi, and some amazing house made sauces, including the ginger salad dressing. I loved the kani salad who would have thought that crab and cucumber was a good combination? Other favorites (from this time and the last 3 times I ate here) are the salmon teriyaki (perfectly glazed), the sushi pizza, the crab rangoon, the shrimp bento box dinner, the speedy way roll, the snow roll and the rock shrimp roll. My friends absolutely loved the food also. Though the portions were plentiful, many joked that they didn 't have any leftovers to take home, and left happy and satiated. Needless to say, I strongly recommend, as this is a hidden neighborhood treasure!!"
