"I had ordered a lamb over a week in advance for an event and was assured by Bob that it would only take a maximum of four days to prepare. A week later, on the day before the event, I called to check in, only to be told by Bob that they needed another four days. When I explained my situation, he promised to do his best to have it cut by the end of the day and said he would call me before closing. Unfortunately, that call never came, and we were forced to change our menu for the event.
When I called today to find out what happened, Tom Keller claimed he wasn't aware of the issue, but mentioned that the lamb had actually been cut and ready since Friday! When I went to pick it up, despite providing very specific cutting instructions, it was not prepared the way I wanted. Frustrated, I decided not to take the meat, and we were taken into Tom Keller's office. Instead of resolving the situation, he chose to be rude, which backfired on him."
