"We wanted to give Costa a try as it is newer restaurant. Sam was our server, very professional yet didn’t know how to execute the slow kitchen. We waited about 40 minutes for our purchased bread and mussels. It was strange because they were only six tables seated and all had their food. It wasn’t busy at all. Not sure if Sam forgot to put the order in or was it the kitchen? After the delicious bread and mussels we order our meals. The rack of lamb was prepared medium rare and my husband loved it. My daughters had the bolognese and the clam linguini. I had the citrus salad- all entrees were very good. The dessert we ordered was the pistachio shortbread however when we were all digging in we couldn’t find the shortbread. We told Sam and he acted this time and brought out the chef and he appropriately apologized and stated that a chef in training put this out without having it checked. He instead gave us the olive oil cake complimentary. We were happy to try the other dessert and found this was away better way to handle the situation from the appetizers. I’m all for an apology but to not address it it gets a bit awkward. I think once the kinks are straightened out ,this restaurant will do well because the chef does a wonderful job!"
