"The food was rich and flavorful, as expected from a genuine French cuisine, although it felt a bit overly rich at times. I chose the Le Gourmand Menu with wine pairing, starting with the Escargots à la Bourguignonne and followed by the Magret et Confit de Canard au Poivre Vert. Both dishes were excellent, with a delightful combination of flavors, although a few pieces of meat were slightly chewy.
The dessert, Crème brûlée au Café, was enjoyable, though I wouldn’t say it was the best I’ve ever had. The espresso I ordered to accompany it, however, was expertly made—something that is often hard to find in Seattle restaurants. The wine pairing was also impressive, enhancing the meal nicely.
I took a small taste of my wife’s King salmon entrée, which highlighted the restaurant's focus on bold flavors. This approach, while enjoyable, might be a bit excessive given the naturally rich qualities of our local salmon.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Maximilien and look forward to returning for another dining experience."
