"They should be ashamed by the tomato sauce that they use. It was like the cheapest store bought jar sauce available (Ragu/Progresso . It was disgustingly sweet and tastes like it was processed in a factory (just use crushed canned tomatoes people!! . The garlic bread was good, but how do you mess up bread with butter and garlic. The mozzarella cheese was actually a pretty good quality cheese, but again, the red sauce was a joke. Service was fine. Source: I am an Italian from NYC who worked in top level pizzerias and Italian restaurants for many years, and I have been sorely disappointed with the Italian food in SoCal. There are a few good places in LA and OC, and Joe’s Italian restaurant is decent, but please wake TF up and use canned crushed tomatoes like they do in NYC. It’s not rocket science."
