"Never been to Morton’s a day in my life I’ve only had take out from them once with a friend. I chose to dine in at Morton’s for my birthday last week although the food was good. The service was not. I anticipated this day for weeks I was excited just to experience fine dining at a “5 star restaurant” . Strike one was when I ordered a double shot STRAIGHT NO CHASER and the waitress brings my drink and I can tell that it was cut with soda or something sweet. She said she watched the bartender make it and that there wasn’t anything else in it, long story short they corrected it and she brought it back right. Second strike was when it came time to sing Happy Birthday to me . The staff was FULLY aware that it was my birthday hence the reservations made , the custom made menu’s AND the host wishing me a happy birthday once we were seated. While we ate our meals.I watched at least two different parties also celebrating birthdays get sang to. Our waitress Vanessa asked me what kind of desert I wanted and I told her the hot chocolate lava cake. She brings me the cake with a candle lit and says “ we didn’t want to embarrass you by singing happy birthday” and walks away. Did I miss something??? I didn’t know I had to ask to be sang to on my special day. I will not be returning to Morton’s anytime soon at least not the Coral Gables location. The bill came out to $400 for 3 people which isn’t bad BUT I would’ve much rather spent my money elsewhere that had better service."

"Food: I had the salmonw mango sauce and it was okay. The sauce was wonderful, but the fish was boiled over (it is really hard to cook salmon perfectly; it needs an extremely talented cook to know the fine line perfectly between a few minutes, and overcooked 30 additional seconds. My friend had the Wels PoBoy and said it was fantastic and the fish was perfectly cooked. Four stars. Beverages: I had cranberry and Grey Goose. The bartender was very liberal with the vodka. 4 stars for hard casting on the vodka, but a little too strong 3.5. The friend had a beer that is not typical, so 5 stars. Four stars. Service: A Mazing!!! Over 5 stars! Alfonz was our waiter. He was charming, attentive, on us often checked BUT not so often to be intrusive. He hit the perfect balance with the really a professional! He only dedicated us enough to find out what we were in the city, and offers local tips, including that we were connected to a Skywalk to the theater (where we were led, what a bonus Cuz was it raining. And he did all this with a full house of the Diners! When we finished, I went to the toilet room to check my make-up, went to the room where the hostess didn't even need to ask me before I pointed out where the toilets were, to a man on a desk about twenty meters away, and when I came to him, he smiled also without a word, and directed me to the "second door on the right ". I'd always come here for the incredible staff. 10 stars! I saw reviews about it being stuffy, but I didn't get it at all. When I think of stuffy, I think of an experience where our table must be super quiet and you feel a little unpleasant if you are not dressed like a Royal. I have a welcome mood. People were dressed the whole series of nice suits to jeans and a blouse; my friend and I had a normal volume conversation, how to talk sailors, how we do: and I felt no inconvenience or how someone looked down on us. I felt completely comfortable here and other guests were all chatting and laughing too, so I think it was just a good mood in the whole area (and I am lower middle class, so some places can feel a little excitement for me. 5 stars for atmosphere. PS Alfonz mentioned the company looking for reviews on Tripadvisor, but I couldn't even load this site properly so hopefully they also check Google (how they should, who goes to Tripadvisor???"
