"On my way back to Texas from Sequoia National Park, I stopped at a restroom facility. It is possible that I was tired or distracted from the long journey, as I mistook a restaurant for a gas station. I went inside and purchased a cold bottle of Mexican soda, and the aroma coming from the kitchen made me think the food was authentic and delicious. Initially, I did not plan to eat there, but after telling my partner about it, we decided to give it a try. The pozole soup was tasty, and their world-famous quesabirria was outstanding. I recommend adding this stop to your travel plans."

"The smoked brisket tacos, tri tip sandwich, shrimp tacos, and cod tacos at this restaurant are all delicious! The meat is very tender, and the shrimp and cod are cooked perfectly. They offer specials each day of the week, which is a great deal, especially on taco Tuesday and Friday. I'm looking forward to trying the ribeye and prime rib dinners soon! Don't forget to pick up a punch card for rewards. The service for take-out is excellent, and the atmosphere is great for lunch. The price per person is between $30-50. I highly recommend trying the Shrimp Taco, Smoked Prime Rib, and Southern BBQ."

"Makes me sad to only leave 2 stars on a New Mexican restaurant but.....After a friend's recommendation and reading good reviews I decided I wanted Carlito's for Mother's Day. I'm a simple gal. Maybe it was an off day because it was slower for them but the food wasn't great. My son's tortilla sliders were dry and clearly reheated, my enchiladas with Red Chile lacked flavor and my husbands chicken was dry. Only 2 things were great, the sopapillas and the lady working the front. I hope this place can up their standard of quality because I'd love to return if the food gets better."

"Nice, local place, very casual. A great place to come sit down if you've had a long day, or don't feel like cooking, or even if you just want a quick beer and to watch sports on TV. Tacos and burritos are both a good size, and there's a decent selection of drinks. Are they the best tacos you've ever had? Probably not, there are any number of street taco places a mile or two away that have better food. But there's parking here, and indoor seating; they serve beer, and aren't stingy with extras. Service is fast, and you can even call ahead with your order if you don't like waiting in lines. And they're open late. There's even a special where if you get a burrito, for a buck more you can get a small (7oz) beer."

"I was craving birra tacos and found them on google . So I went in and told them what I wanted and the lady went straight to the grill ! They make food fresh ! They don?t have them sitting there which I love . It?s a little expensive but very worth it ! They load it up with meat ! Not stingy at all ! It came to $33 for two orders of them . Came with the sauce you dip them in and some chips and a lime ! Very tasty ! Deff coming back just wish they made you feel more welcome it was my first time and they just kept starting at me lol made me feel uncomfortable but was worth it ! I recommend them : wish the sauce was thicker very runny ??"

"I ordered 2 fishtacos, 2 garnelen tacos, taco de papa and a surf and shave. the fish and shrimp tacos were cold small and expensive. the fish parts were extremely small. I literally have a garnel pro taco. smh. the surfing and shaking had more tears than asada or garnel. the kartoffeltaco was probably the best as it was hot to beat a lot, but again small. extremely disappointed with the result. I would recommend it unless his taco Tuesday. this tiny meal for a small man cost over $25 with a horchata."

"The first time trying out at this Rest since it keeps on advertising its Menu all over TV in mails. I love tacos, so placed an order for 1 Fish Taco, 1 Baja Cali Taco. But, the Baja Cali one missing all sorts of ingredients (no fries, no cheese, no guacamole). When I asked, the worker and owner both then realized the Rest. Menu was wrong. Hello! how long has this been incorrect? no other customers ever ordered this before? Anyway, the owner didn 't offer to make the right one for me and didn 't apologize either. Just said to me that Oh, that 's for burrito, not taco. Well for surre, they are definitely going to lose my business. No more returning! Customers, please pay attention on the Menu."

"They are stingy with their salsa!!!! I asked for some green salsa from the woman who handed me my order, and she said they don't have anymore, and right after she said that, another lady walked by with a tub of green salsa containers. I ordered 6 tacos, and she only gave me four salsas. I asked for another, and she said the fish tacos already have sauce on them! STINGY STINGY STINGY!!!! I will not be coming back. The fish tacos on Tuesday were not that good anyway. Everyone go try TACOS GAVILAN! They are not stingy. You can have as many condiments as you want with their salsa bar which includes beans, lettuce, pickled chilis, and more!"

"Hurry, don’t walk! We visited a few authentic spots that were a letdown, offering bland raw masa, tasteless curtido, and watery red sauce. But this place? The roasted tomato red sauce is rich in flavor and perfectly thick. The pupusas are creamy, chewy, and absolutely delicious, topped with an indulgent amount of cheese. The curtido is bright and crispy, not soggy, with just the right hint of spice and oregano. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. "I recently dined at this establishment for the first time and had a great experience. My friend and I decided to share the highly recommended veggie combo platter for two. The portion was very generous, and we couldn't finish it all (see second picture), so I would recommend it for three moderately hungry individuals. My favorite part of the platter was the potato cabbage carrots. The lentils were tasty, but a bit too salty for my taste, although it didn't detract from the overall meal. We also tried the lentil sambusas, which were delicious, but the platter alone would have been satisfying enough. Our waitress was extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely return to sample more dishes from their menu and enjoy the excellent service."
