"We stayed in the carriage house, a suite located across the street in a different building. Unfortunately, the hotel staff at the front desk were cold and unwelcoming, which was a stark contrast to the service we've received in other luxury hotels. After handing over our car to the valet—who were excellent—we found ourselves having to carry our luggage from the main building to the separate building down the street.
This separate building had potential and some charming character, which is typically expected from an older establishment, but unfortunately the linens, carpets, televisions, and towels were all of cheap quality, and the queen-size bed was far from comfortable.
On our departure morning, while enjoying our coffee on the veranda, a city official unexpectedly approached us with a code violation notice, warning that the water would be shut off if the issue wasn’t resolved soon. When I brought this notice to the front desk, there was no apology or acknowledgment—just an annoyed demeanor from the staff.
Overall, my experience here did not meet my expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel."
