"I enjoy The Boathouse, the food here is usually pretty good, but today the service was just abysmal. First off, usually on a quiet day, you can just walk up and usually be seated relatively quickly. But not today, the line just to talk to someone, RESERVATION OR NOT was about 15-20 minutes, with a line out of the door. This line alone should have been a sign to cut my losses and just leave, but instead I persisted giving The Boathouse the benefit of the doubt. I waited and waited some more, just to be told at the front desk that my 1 PM reservation was not ready yet and that they were still trying to seat people with 12:15/12:30 reservations. NOTE: I didn 't get to the desk until around 1:20/1:30 PM, so already about an hour behind. I was told that I will get a text when my table would be ready, I was fed up with waiting so I left. What 's the point in having a reservation if one, I have to wait in a line with people who don 't have a reservation and two have to wait even longer for my table to be ready well after my reservation time? It very much defeats the purpose of having a reservation, especially with the Disney app that can let you at some restaurants check in without having to talk to someone? On top of this, why was there no communication from the restaurant beforehand or while I was waiting in a long line to let me know hey we 're not going to be able to seat you at the time that we promised . All of this to say, Disney gets very busy, there are some issues from both a communication and operations standpoint that should definitely be looked at. All that had to be done to make today a little bit better was literally someone from the restaurant coming out and saying something along the lines If you don 't have a reservation, your estimated wait time will probably be around x hours AND OR If you have a reservation, we might not get to you at your reservation time just simple things to show that you care about your guest 's time. Maybe consider relying more on the app or having a separate area for those with reservations or without? Either way, super disappointed and it 's not fair to the frontline staff that were not being treated nicely by those who were understandably upset, that should be dealt with by management."

"The first time I went here during Restaurant Week on a date with my significant other, I thought the atmosphere was great, the food wasn’t too bad, and the drinks were made very well. In fact, we liked this restaurant so much that we suggested having a company party here so others could try it, as well. Needless to say, that was a horrible idea. As we learned, this restaurant doesn’t know how to accomodate large parties. Our party included about 11 adults and we had made reservations at least two weeks in advance, maybe more. We willingly changed our reservation time to a later time to better accomodate the restaurant and they still did an awful job at accomodating us. They have a party room, but we were not offered to sit in there despite the fact that it was empty when we got there- and still empty when we left. When we got there, our table wasn’t ready and what they finally arranged for us was cramped and uncomfortable. It would have been nice to be able to talk with the rest of the people sitting at the table; however, it wasn’t really possible given the seating arrangements. As far as the food was concerned, the tuna tartare appetizer was the standout of the evening, and everything else was sort of mediocre. I ordered salmon and it came with potato and vegetable sides, all of which were cold or lukewarm when I got my plate. From what I heard from a few people around me, everyone else enjoyed what they got, but it wasn’t memorable food by any means- standard fare like crab cakes and steak. Boring. For dessert, quite a few people at the table ordered the chocolate pot du creme- which turned out to be a generous portion of thick, heavy CHOCOLATE GANACHE that was way too much to eat for a dessert portion. It might have been good if it was a smaller portion, or used to top a cake, but they served it in what looked like a small soup bowl. Ugh. During the course of our stay, everyone had at least 2-4 cocktails, an appetizer, main course, and dessert. You can do the math to roughtly figure out what the bill would be for 11 people before tax and tip. Keeping that in mind, not 10 minutes after we had finished our desserts, the manager came over and we were conspicuosly ASKED TO LEAVE because a party of 12 had just arrived. REALLY?! I looked around as we were walking out and noticed that more than half of the tables on the one side of the restaurant were EMPTY. The arriving party could have easily been seated in that area, and our party would have probably ordered at least a few more drinks per person!! The way I see it, they lost out on maybe an extra $100 or more for the bar – and future business – because of how we were innappropriately rushed out the door. The restaurant is OK for couples, but I wouldn’t consider going back with a group- if at all. I frankly haven’t been back there since this experience. It is a damn shame that we reccomended going there because I know it would have been a much better experience at the place we usually go to. The GM wouldn’t dare to kick paying customers out, especially a party of people, 10 minutes after they finished their dessert because they know how to plan reservations accordingly."

"This will be a great evaluation. My wife and I are looking for a date night spot in the town of Peachtree a little over a year and a half since we moved here. We have tried fun places professional places midprice places and even diving. So far, everything was over. Georgia shrimp company always had people outside the veranda and I know that it has been in Fayette county for many years. When we went some Thursdays, we did not expect the experiences we received. Thanks to Covid and Personaling problems, we had to wait for our evening meal, but we understand that exactly that is how the world is and the host was incredibly courteous and friendly to us. So we went to the bar to take a drink in front of our table. The girl at the bar mixed an absolute perfection of a martini with blue cheese olives! For my wife and for me cast a German half of Eidson as the Germans do. I know it may seem like a stupid point, but the bartender did not only know how to prepare mixed drinks, but also how to treat different beer styles and served it in the corresponding glassware. These are small touches that really talk to the quality of this restaurant. When we came to our table, the waitress was incredibly friendly and very welcoming. We immediately ordered the fresh shrimp appetizers as well as our main entrées the shrimps and grits as well as the shrimp sample for my wife. The restaurant was very clean and simple and elegant. There were no crumbs on the floor there were no sticky decorations on top, and the table is not sticky! The wine list is as extensive as the drinks menu in general. A large fish tank near the back is also exceptionally expected. While we waited, fresh bread and real butter came to the table. Again, this is a small thing that doesn't really make a difference to people who care about the quality of every ingredient that goes to food. The appetizers for excellent. The service was incredibly fast and never dived all night. The shrimps and grits were absolutely fantastic. Some of the best I had in many years. They were light on the salty side, but overall they were so rich and tasty, but I could eat only 75% of the bowl. My wife shrimps or cooked for perfection, each variety was made so good. We must have said that we found our new day-night spot six times. For an unlikely journey to a new establishment, it met and exceeded all expectations. I don't think this place to get enough attention and praise: but come to think about it, I don't want more people there to make my wait longer! There is no question that this is one of the best restaurants we found."

"Let 's just begin with the manager Taylor, was so disrespectful on Thursday game night. Reminding the customers of there closing time could have eliminated the entire fiasco and prepared us to have to move because the screen would change. ALTHOUGH the TV did shut off it was just changed to another channel. It was not secret that several customers were there to watch the Cleveland Browns game. Although she was not our server, she assisted with delivering food, and shockingly that was with a horrible attitude. I asked about my wings she delivered and her responses was an immediate CHECK dry rub sauce on side is what you ordered I was taken back but accepted her disrespectful mannerism to keep the peace. However as the game continued through halftime, the NFL Cleveland Browns game just switched while we sat watching without warning of any kind. The server was stopped by individuals sitting next to us and she indicated she would get the manager to them. I was totally shocked and disappointed with the disregard to the concerns without warning of the restaurant was about to close. She responded as if the customers were breaking the law by alerting security making everyone who was in the area subject to spectators. I have never been so embarrassed. We had to sit in the area waiting on our checks as the security guard stood posted at the staircase (exit for elevated area). After eventually receiving the checks, and the public shame, we had missed the game. Restuarants have to do better, COVID changed many things but customer service should remain paramount and all management should promote it. It was concerning that Taylor 's behavior and attitude was supported and they (other managerial staff and security) felt confident in her performance as a representative of the MGM Taps ' Bar and grill. I have made it a common practice to watch the games at the Casino due to fan duel, slots machines, big screens and eatery but with Taylor, as a Manager of hospitality I have to revisit my patronage. The attitude was directed to a table of African American women, who were visiting Cleveland from California, and we should be more hospitable. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS STILL IMPORTANT FOR PATRONS."
