"Absolutely do not order from this restaurant! Initially, we were told that the pickup wait time would be 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes. When we finally received our order, the food was cold. We requested lemonade but were instead given agua fresca and charged for the incorrect drink. Despite their offer to remake the food, they didn’t follow through and denied our request for a refund. Furthermore, the birria tacos are not worth the $18; they were flimsy and lacked sauce. Save your money and look elsewhere!"

"I been going to cafe Riazor for more than 20 years I send Christmas and New Years there with my family it is the best place to spend special days because the restaurant is a family place u love the food the appetizers such the camarones al ajillo chicken empanadas and the pulpo a la galleta are the best. Main dish I love the chicken Riazor the sauce is amazing the house paella is delicious best paella ever in New York City and the mariscada Riazor everything is good because is fresh food not pre cooked. They have different desserts but my favorite is the flan and the chocolate mouse cake. Service is always good and the prices are affordable for any family who wants to spend time in the best Spanish restaurant in New York City u will always recommended to anyone who wants to try their food !!!!"

"I discovered plastic in my food at this restaurant, which was quite disappointing. It took me two trips through the establishment before I was finally able to get assistance at the hostess stand. When I explained my issue to the server, she interrupted me, took my plate, and brought me the check without allowing me to finish. The total bill for just two drinks and one dinner plate was $40, even though I had only been eating for about 10 minutes and hadn’t touched much of my meal. I wasn't given the option to order an alternative. Right from the start, the service was lacking; the server seemed more preoccupied with her phone than with attending to customers. We also never received any water or chips and salsa. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning to this restaurant."

"Honestly would have given it zero stars if possible. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. My husband and I just had to laugh our way through the meal because the entire experience was a joke!! SO many red flags upon entering the establishment and we should have left then. Unfortunately we went to try a different place downtown but they had an hour and a half wait time so we went here instead. We walked in to a completely dead restaurant except for one other group who ironically was laughing about being the only group in the whole place once we walked in. Upon entering there was no host stand or person to greet us so we were awkwardly standing there when a girl eating at the back table (with a spread out in front of her) decided to come up to greet us after about a minute. There were also two tables in the restaurant randomly spread out with menus on them as if they were waiting for someone (weird way to set up a reservation and they remained empty for the entire time we were there lol). The host was nice it was just odd she was eating in the dining area and then approached us after about a minute of standing there and grabbed our silverware with her just having eaten and not washed hands lol. The other major red flag was the booths lining the back wall. They are quite honestly atrocious looking. It looks like a perfect place for Gordon Ramsey to do a complete restaurant makeover for both the interior, staff training, and food quality. The booths (just to dive into some more detail) are these weird almost camping cot like design and they are clearly stained and are mismatched blues between the backs and the bottom seats. Now for the food ....this was the most mind blowing experience. We ordered 5 dishes upfront (we would have left after the first if we would have staggered ordering) all of which were horrible, small, and microwaved. The mushrooms are very clearly sliced canned mushrooms. There was probably the equivalent of 3 whole mushrooms in the entire dish. If I had to guess how they make it, I would say they dump half a can of mushrooms into a dish. Top it with two spoonfuls of pre-chopped garlic and a large slice of butter and then microwave it. The crispy brussel sprouts were supposed to come with manchego cheese but it was topped with pre packaged shredded mozzarella that was half melted on top of the dish. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal lol. They were at least crispy but the cheese was hilarious. We also got the chorizo which was supposed to be cooked in apple cider vinegar. Based on the menu description, I imagined we would get some shredded chorizo that had been cooked in a crock pot for a few hours. LOL NO. It was not even chorizo it was like a prepackaged chorizo and beef sliced sausage placed in a dish that they then put a slice of butter on and poured raw apple cider vinegar on and then microwaved. I 'm not kidding or exaggerating. We got two more dishes. The almond chicken over fried potatoes. The entire size of this dish was the size of my fist and I 'm a tiny lady lol. The chicken was also very clearly CANNED or they took a tiny piece and put it in a food processor (but I honestly doubt that because that would be more work and they clearly opt for the easiest way for all their dishes). And the potatoes were the smallest things I have ever seen. Each one was the size of the tip of my pinky finger. It tasted like **** and I couldn 't finish the chicken. The last thing we got was the bombas which by the description sounded like breaded ground beef rolled into a ball and deep friend. Also not what we got lol. What we got was a pre made frozen potato with what looked like a tiny slice of a breakfast sausage link in the very center of it. It was also STILL COLD. The entire meal was hilarious to us because we have never had food this bad from a restaurant or honestly ever. We were starving upon arriving so we ate our food but we will NEVER be back and will avoid this place like the plague. DO NOT go here. We read the reviews and"
