"It was a nice dinner but definitely on the pricey side. Most of the items we got were good, not great. Hokaido Milk Bread 5/5 Kumamoto Kushi Oysters 4/5 (fresh yet, something’s missing or maybe too much sourness for me Caviar Classic 5/5 Wood Fired Miyagi 4/5 Halibut Crudo 3/5 (maybe just me, would’ve like this warm Spot Prawn Tuna Tartare 4/5 (woul’ve preferred thinner cracker Blisterred Snap Peas with Blue Blue Cheese 6/5 (yup definitely liked this especially with generous serving of caviar! Seared Rockfish 4/5 Miso Glazed Black Cod 6/5 (this was the star of our visit! The best fish entree I porbably had in my life! Dry Aged Tuna Steak 3/5 (was just ok.M Cocktails 4/5 t(hey were nicely strong Service 3/5 (no warm welcome by the door. Host had a weird, somewhat surprised expression when we approached. A bit of wait before our drinks/orders were taken. Good team service through dessert afterwards except fair service on water refills. Bathroom 3/5 (good and clean, but not as nice/fancy compared to other restaurants with same menu prices Bar service 5/5 Overall, it was a nice visit yet I don’t see myself coming back for their tasting menu nor would back for the ala carte as I was only impressed with only a few dishes from the ala carte menu. In other words, this place didn’t make it to my favorite list"

"This is the establishment that downtown Burlingame needed! The ambiance is perfect to relax with a glass of wine. They have pleasant music playing in the background and somehow the acoustics of the space made it easy to converse without having to talk loud. They offered me a complimentary sparkling wine as soon as I sat down! The wine selection is huge, even though I didn't know much about particular wines, I described what I liked to the owner Jason and he ordered delicious wines for me. The staff was very friendly and the open layout, high ceilings, and seating areas are very inviting without feeling pretentious. I love outdoor seating and this place has a small outdoor patio in the back. They offer small plates that pair well with wine. I tried one of the deserts and it hit the spot. Downtown Burlingame finally has a wine bar and Velvet 48 nailed it."

"My partner and I decided to dine at USC last night without a reservation and were lucky enough to snag a table. We were warmly welcomed by Monique, the Sommelier, who first treated us to a glass of USC's own Tassin, which we found to be absolutely delightful. Monique then introduced us to a vintage Billecart-Salmon Cuvee that truly impressed us. To cap off our evening, she suggested a remarkable Madeira that was the best I've ever tasted. Michael guided us through the menu and made some excellent recommendations for our meal. Chris, the manager, made sure everything was perfect before we left. Thank you USC for a fantastic dining experience! - Will Phyl from Whitestone"

"In the fall of 2017 we came here to celebrate the boss’s birthday. The food and the service were mediocre. What you are dropping $100 per head on dinner you expect something a little more than mediocre. I received a very nice email from Tony Foreman the proprietor asking specifically about my complaints. I responded ends and the following emails he copied his minion, Will Napier. In Mr. Forman‘s email, he promised that the next time we plan to dine there I should let him know in advance and he would make our experience a lot better. He also seemed to suggest a bottle of wine on the house with the help of the wine steward. Now you have to understand that we live on “ that small little island in the Pacific” and don’t get to Baltimore very often. We were planning on returning just six months ago, again for the boss’s birthday. I emailed him in advance along with a copy of our previous emails. In the next emails I was passed down to a woman in the office who asked when my reservation was for. I told her and also asked if one of my favorite managers, who I knew well, still work there. No response from either the woman in the office, Will Napier, or Mr. Foreman. The evening of the reservation came, and we were seated at our table with little or no recognition of anything. Just two people walking in off the street and asking to be seated for dinner. Although the service was a little better this time, and less confused, my review of the food remains the same, just mediocre. No special help or offer from the wine steward, and basically no recognition of any previous emails or promises. Would I return? I don’t think so."

"We love Millwrights and usually go once a year for a special occasion and always enjoy the tasting menu immensely. But I don't think it's worth it anymore. We were excited to try seating on the bridge, but it wasn't as nice as the dining room. The decor just looked a bit more bare. Of course no fault of the restaurant, but an infant and a toddler were behind us, banging toys, crying and clearly needed to go outside. So the atmosphere just wasn't there for a nice birthday dinner. The service was also not what they had in the past. There were two people there, so I assume someone was training. While they were lovely, we felt rushed. The 1st course of watermelon crudo came out at the same time as the biscuits, popcorn app, and puff pastry. I think they should have been spaced out and a side plate should have been provided for the biscuits. Later, I was eating my last bite of lamb when they asked if I was ready for the dessert. There were still a couple tables there, so I'm not sure why we were feeling rushed. The food was still delicious, but the tasting menu wasn't as memorable as it has been in the past and the portions were much smaller. We'd certainly go back and try appetizers and entrees, but the tasting menu has lost its value. Overall it was not the experience it should have been for nearly $300."

"I don’t know where to begin to describe such a gloomy and obscure place. I will begin with the waiter, lady in black just scaring.. continuing with the elevators in which you have to pray to God to arrive safely… Now the food, the crab is only a tiny piece in the middle of tasteless melons. The duck came completely cold, we asked the scary waiter and she stared at us like in a terror movie… overall I would have gone to the Tower of terror in Disney.."

"My wife and I both had the Roast Duck, which was very good. I had the Caesar Salad which was excellent. She had the Lobster Bisque special, which she enjoyed. We shared the Apple Strudel with vanilla ice cream for dessert excellent as well. The only negative was that we requested some extra triple sec sauce to accompany the Duck and were charged an additional It is sad that Covid prices and shortages have forced restaurants to impose such petty charges, especially since the sauce accompanying the Duck was not adequate. On the upside, service was attentive and we enjoyed the casual, comfortable, upscale ambience. We look forward to dining there again."

"First, allow me to confirm that both the food and ambiance were incredible. Second, I can confirm I will never return. While I am no stranger to expensive lower Manhattan restaurants, this was over the top. Our table for 4 cost $800, where a competing restaurant of similar quality and quantity would have cost $400. The market price steak for 4 cost $170--I could have eaten this steak myself. Similarly, the other gentleman at the table and I were drinking gin on the rocks from a bottle that retails for $35. The restaurant charged us $170 for our handful of drinks, i.e the equivalent of 5 bottles of the stuff. Worth noting the manager more or less laughed in our face when we let him know we felt aggrieved. Fantastic food, will never return."

"Brought a friend who had never fined here. Still feel this place is a touch overrated. Food is ok, some items were better than others: 1. Grilled Caesar had far too much dressing. 2. Tagliatelle was either over cooked or had been warmed up was tough...meat sauce was tasty though. 3. Risotto was decent but too peppery. 4. Gelato was tasty but it would have been a nice touch to add a shortbread wafer or something similar since. Just a thought. 5. Good wines by the glass are way overpriced. Service was quite good all-in-all an OK experience until... if you dine in the front area/atrium setting, be prepared fir the noise level to be bombastic!!!!! Our reservation was at 6pm by 6:30pm, it was all you could do to fight off a migraine! It’s a perfect area if you are with someone that you don’t care to listen to, but if you want an enjoyable conversation, ask to be in the interior area."

"Outstanding experience, dining out (literally outside) with friends. Our group ordered all food items on the menu including appetizers, sides, and desserts. They were all varying degrees of excellent. Cocktails were superior, and the wine list was well curated. The outdoor space was well heated and protected from wind, while still being open and airy. And last but definitely not least, especially in outdoor settings, service was caring and attentive. There was no point where we were *waiting* for anything or anyone. In short, best tasting menu experience without the faff, and for far less a typical tasting menu place. Highly, highly recommended."

"We brought a family of 8 for the first time. waitress failed to return to table in a timely manner for beverage refills requested one extra dressing and was told there is an additional charge for that, which i found to be unusual for dinners in the $25-$30 range. Once dressing was served in a 2 oz plastic container i was even more surprised at the policy. I feel you should revisit charging for an extra 2oz dressing with customers salad. This is something Raising Canes does and Im sure you want be held in a differnet catagoey than fast food."

"we have been happy with friends who we hadn't seen for a long time for dinner. I have chosen via perla about other restaurants in the inner city of boulder because it offers good Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. but I had hoped that the restaurant would not be crowded with loud people, because we really wanted to talk and catch up, not scream and laugh gay. we have, to our great joy, laugh a lot, listen to us strata and comments, and enjoyed our cocktails and dinners. add the wonderful and cheerful service of a friendly server called stacy, and they have everything essential for a beautiful night out. Thank you. via perla, and thanks, stacy!"

"A real gem in the neighborhood I wouldn't expect to find a decent sushi place. But, sushi here us amazing!!! The fish is very fresh and everything I've had here was absolutelly amazing. My favorite lunch place, gets crowded at night as locals know about it. Nit a fancy place and prices are in the mid-range, lunch runs at about $25-30 if you order sushi rolls. But they also have lunch combos for less. Give this place a try!!"

"Chose Vetro for a birthday celebration on a Friday evening and it was incredible. We had not been there before. From being warmly greeted to receiving excellent service it was a perfect evening. I started out with a garden salad (specially made due to dietetic requirements) and my guest had a spicy pasta dish for appetizer. For the main course I enjoyed garlic crusted salmon and my partner had pork chop both were amazing. Topped it off with apple cobbler and gelato which was enough to share. By the way, the specially crafted cocktails were top notch as well. In the background a singer entertained us the whole night long. Please give Vetro by Russo's on the Bay a try for your next special occasion or night out. I know that you will become a regular. Thank you Vetro's for such a special dinner that will not be soon forgotten."

"If you can not go to Italy. Go to Casa La Luna downtown on Superior. Hospitality is tops. Marita our sever was wonderful. No matter how hectic it got she never got rattled. Food is authentic and wonderful. My wife would go just for the bread and olive oil, and it's free. Everything from apps to dessert is great. We has 2 pastas. Orrechiette Con Rapini and Sacchetti Al Tututo Blanco both were perfection. Extensive and reasonably priced wines. Exceptional Northern Cuisine. One of the finest in America."

"My children surprised me with a birthday dinner at Scampi, and the biggest surprise was that my daughter flew in from California to join us! The evening was already special, but the staff at Scampi made it even better. The service was attentive, and when our waitress was busy, another staff member stepped in to help. Our waitress, knowing it was our first time there, gave us recommendations on what to order. We started with a bottle of wine from their great selection and enjoyed scallop crudo, little gem salad, and delicata squash. My favorite was the squash, but the burrata with hot honey, pepitas, and basil pesto was also delicious. We all ordered different entrees and shared their signature Mafaldini Scampi. My Branzino was excellent, and the broccoli rabe was a tasty side. We all enjoyed the Mafaldini, especially the pasta style. Although we didn't have dessert at Scampi, our waitress brought us bubbly to toast my birthday before we headed to another venue to meet friends. The only downside was the noisy atmosphere in the restaurant, but overall it was a wonderful night from start to finish."

"Great hibachi experience.. My family of six dines every year on Valentine's Day at a Japanese steakhouse and hibachi. We have eaten at several in several states. Ichiban is a clear cut above the rest. We we're seated fairly quickly, service was good, wine list ample, sushi arrived quick and week prepared, and the atmosphere is great! Paul, our Chef, put on a great show, but more so served great food. The meat and vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. His show made me laugh out loud on several occasions. The restaurant is clean and appeard to be well run and staffed. Those are all great reason to dine here, but the food is the best reason. Seasoned well, cooked well, tastes great. Thank you Ichiban for making our tradition just a bit better."

"Caviar Russe has become one of the top high end restaurants to dine at in the entire city. There is certainly no better place to go if your a caviar lover. I've eaten here a handful of times over the years and feel that the experience has gotten better each time. The room is beautiful, the service is impeccable, and the food is outstanding. Also Caviar Russe has just taken space on the first floor that is a little more casual than the second floor dining room. I look forward to trying downstairs next time. In any event this restaurant is highly recommended and a must try!"
