"Booooo. Extremely slight portions of proteins or sauces on every dish poor value. Examples: 1. pappardelle with meat ragu 1 Tablespoon of sauce and meat. 2. Prawns and pasta had 2 small prawns cut into six pieces and kitchen apologizes because there should have been 3 prawns cut into 9 pieces. Hahahahaha come on. 3. 3 scallops not jumbo scallops on an entree plate as the entree with a Tablespoon and a half of rice and 2 pine nuts halved. 4. 3 chicken meatballs in a huge bowl of spaghetti with no sauce, it was tossed in sauce and put into the bowl and was dry. Our dinners and desserts were served 15 minutes apart. We waited 20 minutes after being seated to even be acknowledged and that wasn’t even by our server. Our server was sweet but there is clearly no team here. Overall the pasta was good but he value is terrible and two dishes were grossly over salted while one had no seasoning at all. The scallops weren’t properly seared on both sides resulting in slightly under cooked centers. To round out amateur night they hyped a champagne gelato which one would assume the champagne is poured over the top, after we ordered and expected to see it on the table after a 20 minute wait, the rest of the desserts were brought and our friend was then told they couldn’t giver her that dessert because the champagne didn’t freeze. Well duh. The spicy Rigatoni was the only really good dish on the menu. The wine list is very good but with a 110 125% markup so be prepared. As a lover of great food, a defender of great restaurants... I must say... Unless you are dying to part with $100 per person for mediocrity, go somewhere else!"

"This was our first time at Crush. Had heard good things about it, were pleased to finally check it out, and weren't disappointed. In fact, it exceeded our expectations. This has just the right atmosphere for a wine bar.....sophisticated, yet welcoming for most any occasion or style of dress. They have an impressive wine list, by glass or bottle. (In fact, they've been recognized by Wine Spectator for having a great wine list basically every year since they've been open....around 12 years running. They have a nice food menu, with changing specials....a good selection for most anyone. We had just come for a glass or two of wine, not to eat, so we didn't get to sample their delicious sounding entrees. We did get a couple appetizers: fresh, crusty bread with dipping oil (for only $4! as well as a smoked trout pate. They readily accommodated our request for cucumbers to go with the trout pate rather than crostini. Both were a nice accompaniment to the wine. (TBH, I thought the pate was lacking a little flavor and was a bit dry compared to some outstanding trout dips/pates I've had elsewhere, but this may be more personal taste. We were pleased enough with everything that we look forward to going again and this time trying some of their other small plates as well as their entress. (They seem to specialize in getting unique and varied oysters and have a n ever changing selection. Yum! We were warmly greeted at the door, and the woman who greeted soon thereafter checked in on us at the bar and made friendly conversation.....Turned out she (Andrea is the owner. It was the Saturday before Halloween, and she and her staff were all in costume. Andrea appears to have a strong, fun, and cohesive staff, and we had great service. Thanks for the really nice experience, Andrea. Check out Crush....You'll be glad you did! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"This place is lovely. I came to eat out by myself (I felt fancy) and Yelp took me here. Its busy on a Saturday night, but not so busy that I wasn't seated immediately. Gino (I think that's his name. I'm terrible with them, but the receipt says Gino) shared the soecials. I chose the wine special (i completely forgot the name, but it had a hint of peppermint at the end of the taste) and bruschetta to start. Both were absolutely delicious. Like I mentioned earlier it was quite busy with two large parties, but the service was still fast enough that I didn't get impatient and slow enough I didn't feel rushed. Gino told me he hasld another big order to put in but he wanted to put mine in first. A move that made me really appreciate the service here. I ordered the Papardelle. At first I was confused at the portion size since everything else seemed to be such big portions, but I quickly learned why. The flavor was immense, and I couldn't even finish it. I did however have to try the Tiramisu (my favorite dessert). I ordered was the dessert and it was much larger than I had anticipated. Again it was overflowing with flavor, but I couldn't fit anymore (although Gino jokingly offered to help me eat half). Once I was finished with my three bites, Gino took the cue from across the room and asked if I would like a box. I'm currently just waiting to give him my card to pay. I so enjoyed the service and the food. Its not something I can afford every week, but it's a great place for special occasions. The atmosphere is amazing. The service is amazing. The good is amazing. La Vista is amazing."
