"We had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Our party consisted of five adults and a small child. Our drink orders were taken promptly, and we were quickly served salsa and chips. The menu offered a good variety, and we ended up ordering quite a few dishes. Since it was lunchtime, I opted for the Speedy Gonzales, which came with one taco, one enchilada, and refried beans. It was delicious! Our drinks were refilled just in time, well before they ran out. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Mexican cuisine and wants a delightful culinary experience!"

"La Escondida is a great place to get great Mexican food. It was my first time to eat here and the food was superb!! I ordered the fajita chicken enchiladas and they were super delicious!! In addition to the red sauce they bring out with the complimentary chips, they also being out a small bowl of refried beans. Great tasting as well! The parking lot is shared with other business establishments so it is spacious and it does get full pretty fast. The prices for the meals are competitive to other Mexican restaurants as well. I highly recommend this place for your next meal!!"

"Two stars for the people working with no direction, lack of manager. Food was awful which is sad because this was the second time I’ve been here. The mole sauce was good but I think I got a few ounces of chicken in the sea mole sauce. The chicken was over cooked, their better off to serve thighs instead of strips of dried chicken. The refried beans were bad, I don’t mean bad tasting but bad like spoiled. The rice was good though and the tortillas. The first time I came here I would have given it four stars but sadly I don’t think it’s a lack of personnel that’s hit this place but rather management or lack of anybody caring to run it. I gave it two stars because of the staff that’s trying their best with what they have and it shows on there faces. Meh and half"

"The food and service were so terrible that I couldn't even finish my meal. My friend ordered a shrimp quesadilla and ended up getting sick. My husband tried the chimichanga, but the ground beef tasted off. I ordered chicken nachos, but the waitress brought me shrimp instead, despite me telling her I’m allergic. She said it was all they had. I also ordered a ranchera combination that was supposed to come with rice, beans, steak, and grilled cactus. I had to ask the waitress for utensils, and she seemed surprised and asked if I needed a fork. It was confusing since I wasn't sure how I was supposed to eat without one. Throughout our visit, she never asked if we needed anything else. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"Absolutely a wonderful restaurant! Our favorite server is Emilio and Geronimo, the manager, is just a fantastic individual! We love going here and it 's our go-to restaurant for Mexican food in the entire area! Why??? Great food, THE best service, quaint atmosphere, and overall the most pleasant dining in The Woodlands! They are not pretentious, which fits us beautifully, unlike other snooty restaurants in the area. Sure, other Mexican restaurants have good food, like Pappasitos or Guadalajara, but NEITHER of them REALLY compete with THIS Mama Juanita 's! I can tell you that whether you order a Taco Salad, Fajitas, Pollo dishes, or even just Enchiladas, your tastebuds will thank you! And let 's not forget that the Customer Service is literally second to none! "This is a fantastic local spot offering authentic Oaxacan cuisine, and it has become our family's favorite place for Mexican food in the area. I would rate the food a solid 5 stars for its incredible flavors and authenticity. The atmosphere is quite casual, reminiscent of a takeout joint, with just a few tables available. It's one of the few places where you can savor true Oaxacan dishes like Tlayuda (Oaxacan pizza), Chile Rellenos, and freshly steamed tamales. Don't miss out on their delicious Flan and Tres Leches for dessert. For vegetarians, there are a couple of options to choose from, including zucchini enchiladas and wraps. I highly recommend the poblano pepper and cheese tamale, although it often sells out quickly."

"I have dined in and ordered to go and have enjoyed the food. This last visit was not so pleasant. One of the orders was incorrect and after the waitress checked on the error she said she couldn't do anything about it. The cook came out and asked how the food was and I informed him the order was incorrect but the waitress would not switch tit he correct one. He apologized and stated he would make the correct dish. I must say I enjoyed the food in the past. Not sure if it's under new management but it's not the same."

"what a pleasant surprise was to find this great restaurant in crawfordsville, indiana! I grew up in miami, florida and there are Mexican restaurants everywhere. none of them was as good as el charro! the first impression from outside was its typical restaurant in a small city. when we came in, it was bam! very colorful and unique as I have never seen in a restaurant. the owners really went out of that and spared no cost on the ambiente. the best part is eating. the menu is extensive and includes almost all mexicans. we put ourselves on the el charro fajitas and the man they did not disappoint! it had chickens, steak and chorizo, along with a same amount of tweezers, red, yellow and green paprika. really delicious! the kicker was when they brought the red and yellow squeeze bottles. like you ketchup and sneak in. only they were filled with some spicy red (hotter) and a yellowish (hot and garlicky) sauces, amazing! crawfordsville is really happy to have this authentic, amazing restaurant in their city."

"Update from the last time I came here, from a 5 star to a 2 star, I came here after telling my parents how good I had it last time I was here, we ordered our food, we all had some sort of steak, I had the steak fajitas and I even ordered it medium rare, because Mexican restaurants like to cook the meat past well done and the meat still came out well done. Want worth the hassle of telling them since they can’t listen the first time plus the time it took to get to the table. Haven’t found a place in Cleburne yet that knows how to cool a simple medium well steak yet. It’s not that hard. Very good food. Came here from an ad on fb. Inside the place looks very nice and classy unlike many Cleburne restaurants. Wish they were open later on weekends. Very nice atmosphere. Good drinks too. I had the beef enchiladas only comes with two of them with rice and beens. They should at least put out 3 on the plate. A little expensive for just two enchiladas. Other than that it was good. They also bring you chips and salsa. Very good sauce. I will be trying out their steaks next time."

"I made a reservation through OpenTable, but when I arrived, the staff questioned its validity even after I showed them my confirmation on my phone. They initially claimed there was no space for us, but eventually squeezed us in at a table in the back facing a wall. Our server took a long time to attend to us after we were seated and neglected to offer us water or take our drink orders. Unfortunately, the poor service continued throughout the evening—with appetizers arriving after our main courses, a lack of attention to drink refills, and an extended wait for the check. While the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the disappointing service left a sour impression. I wouldn't return to this restaurant, but if you decide to go, I hope your experience with the service is better."

"Traditional Mexican restaurant in downtown Roseville with very good food and pretty much everything you'd expect from the ambiance to the decor to the service. As you enter this looks like any other rice and smashed beans place and when reading the menu it looks pretty much the same, too. Then the chips and salsa come and you know that this is going to better than average because the salsa, in particular, is so good. I had a simple meal, a house margarita and a enchilada/taco combination place. For me, the margarita was disappointing because it game in a goblet and I could only drink half of it; I'd have greatly prefer a normal on-the-rock margarita in a cocktail class and the menu provided no warning for what I suspect most people would view as a pleasant suprise. Think: wow, the margartias are huge! The food was very good, both the enchilada and the taco. The service was good but not great."
