"A reservation was for 730 and we were not seated until 745. Our waiter came over and immediately seem to have a bad attitude. We ordered two pastors and a chicken. Our waiter never wrote anything down and proceeded to bring the incorrect chicken dish when he brought the meals 20 minutes later. When we told him that he brought the incorrect chicken dish he was not apologetic he simply asked if we wanted the meals all together or if he should leave the pasta dishes? When we told him that we wanted all of the meals together with that he took the pasta dishes back. Still not apologizing. Finally brought all of the meals after another 20 minutes and the chicken was so dry you could barely eat it. We sent it back and still no big apology. I finally spoke with a manager and he apologized but again wasn’t overly apologetic. At the end of the meal they did bring a couple of complimentary desserts. Obviously they didn’t charge for the chicken dish since it wasn’t eaten. That def didn’t make up for the choppy service or bad food. The entire situation could have been handled differently and would have changed our experience."

"A dear friend brought me here for my birthday. She had heard the spaghetti was excellent! she knew spaghetti was my favorite food and they had angel hair spaghetti what we both prefer. Our waiter, who told us his name when I asked him, took our order, the spaghetti with meat sauce and a side order of meatballs for me. We were served salad and hot rolls as we waited for the spaghetti we both agreed was excellent when the spaghetti arrived, we noticed that I had more spaghetti than my friend. The spaghetti was extremely salty and I had not received the secondary order of meatballs. I tried several times to get our waiters attention to get the secondary order to not fall. The waiter later asked how our food was. We both told him it was too salty and not good, and I also told him I didn't get my side order of meatballs. The waiter annoyed the plate from my friend and stormed back. I said I'd take mine home. In a few minutes another waiter (I guessed) came to the table and apologized for the food and the ruin service."

"We came to San Gennaro to celebrate our Anniversary and were extremely pleased. Starting with a classic Cesare salad we then shared two specials, a Limoncelloricotta cheese Ravioli with basil pesto sauce, and Pollo Rosalinda which was a tender chicken breast with spinach and prosciutto with winter vegetables in a brown gravy. Everything was really delicious, and then we ordered the Limoncake which was stunningly good, moist lemon cake with limoncello mascarpone cream layers. We dream of when we'll be able to have that cake again! Both our waiter and the chef were very friendly and made our anniversary visit special"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."

"My husband and I had our wedding rehearsal lunch at Carmello's and we cannot express enough how impressed we were with the quality of service and food. Stephen, the manager, made the entire process seamless from the initial booking to the actual event, which was executed flawlessly. Several guests approached me after the lunch and in the following days to compliment the delicious cuisine. As longtime residents of the DMV area, we can confidently say that Carmello's offers some of the finest Italian dishes in the area. They have definitely gained loyal customers in us and we are excited about the possibility of hosting future events at their lovely restaurant. "Restaurant was not crowded at all. Perhaps 10 people or less there. My husband and I went there for dinner. Noise level was loud due to a larger party yelling loudly in the restaurant.Honestly it was very distracting. We only ordered appetizer mussels and brick oven pizza. We were never offered any drinks I guess they dont have anything to drink except water. The bread came out and it was excellent. It was slices on pita bread cut like pizzas and had cheddar cheese flavoring on them. The mussels came out 10 mins after we had bread. The mussels were good but tiny ones. Well we must have waited 1/2 hour after our appetizer for our pizza to come out and we had to leave very soon. The pizza was incorrect of what we ordered. Mind you it was not crowded and the guy who made the pizza put the the pizza in the oven 10 mins before we were there close to the 1/2 hour after we had the appetizer. Why I have no clue? We even told the waiter our pizza order and he repeated to us the order and they messed it up. We didnt want the pie and told him what we did order and funny the pizza was done in 7 minutes! We had to take it to go since we have been in there over an hour and 1/2! Only thing nice in this place is the decor and the bread other than that I won't be back."

"I received wonderful news from my doctor and wanted to celebrate. I had lasagna on my mind and a specific way I wanted it prepared. As I strolled along, I asked each restaurant I passed about their lasagna. When I spoke to the woman at Colosseo, she used all the right terms. I was not disappointed. The salad was beautifully presented, and the lasagna had one of the best sauces I've ever tasted. I definitely plan to eat there again. As for the price, yes, it was on the pricier side, but I felt it was worth it for such a fantastic meal. The food was delicious, the presentation was top-notch, and the portion size was perfect for me. I got everything I wanted for my money. I've dined at many restaurants in San Francisco, and for Italian cuisine, this is my favorite."

"I was in the city, because a friend had recommended a new Thai place. but when I arrived, the music was deaf, the sitting opportunity even at the bar gave one no room to move, that was waiting endless - they took reservation, but not from individual diners - and treatment I got from the hostess of tude. So I went and looked for other options on opentable. a few blocks away, I from ciao. they welcome diners in every number. they had a mix of jazz and pop on a level that would not suggest that they would hear the place without her or leave her sanity. there was a pleasant view of the passing scene – and a football game on the big screen. the staff was happy that I was there and I spent a few happy hours on an authentic Italian meal. it was glorious. so if they want a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere, ciao is that the place do not miss the tiramisu!"

"I grew up going to Marcello's. My dad and step mother used to take me to eat there when i was very young. The owner taught me how to use a fork and spoon to spin my spagetti so i could eat it without it falling all over the place. It had been years since i stopped in for a bite to eat. The food is still great and staff friendly and helpful. Its a family buisiness and one of the places that makes me feel at home."

"The food was excellent, but we were a larger group of six, and since the tip was included in the bill, our server seemed to focus more on the smaller tables around us. We noticed that several tables that arrived after us had their food, finished eating, and paid their bills before we were even given the chance to place our order. It’s frustrating when staff rely on the automatic gratuity and don’t provide attentive service."

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It took an incredibly long time for the waiter to acknowledge us, and we waited even longer between courses. The food was mediocre at best. I finished the calamari before the sauce ever arrived, and the Alfredo sauce was thin and tasted like warm milk—totally lacking in flavor and creaminess. I ordered the special, which was Branzino with a side of fettuccini, and this was the only decent dish, but it took a long time to arrive. The bread dipping sauce tasted like watered-down pesto, and the wine was warm and on the verge of spoilage because of the heat— they should have kept it chilled. We only ordered one entrée because everything else seemed so subpar that we didn't want to waste any more money!"

"I can't praise this restaurant enough, the food is exceptional. We recently had lunch there and thoroughly enjoyed it. One suggestion though, please remind your servers to check if guests have finished their food before clearing the plates. My friend's soup was taken away while we were still chatting, and my plate was removed while I was still savoring my scallops. It happened so quickly that we couldn't stop the server. Apart from that, we have no complaints."

"Had high hopes when checking this place out. I'm a big fan of our other local Italian restaurants and San Juan and Dana point. I was a little bit let down with my experience there. Table service was a little bit slow and it took quite a while for the food to get out of the kitchen, even things like the minestrone soup and Caesar salad. The preparation of the food was pretty good. However, the risotto didn't seem like it had the right time of rice, it seemed like a regular short grain rice, something that you might find in Mexican food. The salmon was prepared pretty well but definitely a bit oversalted. The fettuccine alfredo was heavy on the butter and light on the cream. Tried the tiramisu for dessert and just wasn't really that impressed. There is a ton of cocoa all over the dish and it really just didn't have much flavor. There's absolutely plenty of parking here. There's a decent wine selection. The pizzas that came out of the kitchen all looked pretty good. However, I didn't try any. The bread and pesto that were brought to the table were delicious. There's only one small bathroom for a single person which wasn't a big deal. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. There's a little more outside patio seating than there is inside seating. The patio seating outside is nice and provides a nice ambience. No complaints about the chairs or tables for inside or outside. I'll give it another year and then come check this place out again and update my review then."

"What a surprise! I ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom while waiting for the rest of the crew to show up to shoot in the awesome grocery store in the same shopping center. 15 minutes later the calls were for how great this pizza was! The crust is the perfect mix of crisp and flop, and the extra large should have even more flop. A good portion of cheese, and very fresh tasting. The toppings were excellent. A delicious pepperoni and wonderful sliced mushrooms blended with the sauce perfectly. A great find on my travels of pizza. They have an old baseball arcade game."

"Ive been to wine bas all over the world. The service could be so much better. The wines were not explained to us nor anything on the menu. It was very mediocre. I did notice that other tables were receiving more attentive service. The food was okay. The wine wasn’t great. The ambiance was very cool. If things were better I would bring my husband. We probably won’t come back and that’s too bad."
