"We’ve been going to Altobeli’s for over 12 years and have always felt at home. As with any change, like an ownership one in this particular case, there are going to some kinks to work out, of course. We have been a few times and these “kinks” were prevalent, but it’s Altobeli’s…..so loyalty prevailed. Last night we decided to go for a few big celebrations, but unfortunately, we were disappointed again, sadly to say for probably the last time. We had a reservation, yet the table wasn’t set up. They were out of Filet and Crème Brûlée. They were short on menus and lastly, the food was mediocre at best. The Pollo Cristo…..which was once our favorite dish of all time, was watery and lacked flavor, the key lime pie was the smallest slice I’ve ever seen, and a simple dish like pasta with butter was underwhelming. There were, of course, some positives: Our waiter was extremely friendly! The Salmon A la Griglia was awesome The linguini with clams was delicious. The entertainment was great! Overall, because we have had such great experiences in the past, our expectations were so lofty, and maybe that’s unfair, but with so much competition in the restaurant space….the “new” Altobeli’s needs to step up their game if they’re to compete. We wish you all the luck getting back previous glory, but in the interim, we will seek places to dine elsewhere."

"Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious patio filled with tables under umbrellas and a lively interior. There were still plenty of tables available, so we quickly grabbed one. Good thing we did, as by the time we placed our order, the concert cancellation had sent the overheated, thirsty, and hungry crowds streaming in. You wouldn’t expect such a location to be so popular, but Made in Argentina is a fantastic choice, and I have a feeling their business is going to thrive, concerts or not. This is great because their business model perfectly suits a delightful dining experience, featuring delicious entrees and friendly, attentive staff who feel like family, whether or not they actually are. They also have an excellent takeout and delivery menu that boasts a wide selection of empanadas and pizzas. Of course, we had to start with the empanadas. I opted for the blue cheese and mushroom variety, which was rich and divine, while I convinced my husband to try something different and he enjoyed the corn and red pepper option instead of his usual ham and cheese. They came with three kinds of spiced chimichurri, and being a bit of a wimp when it comes to spice, I stuck to the mild variety, happily polishing off both my portion and my husband’s during the meal. My inner voice urged me not to miss out on the potato salad, and it was absolutely right—deliciously homemade, loaded with veggies and creamy mayo, it was exactly what I craved. I also had a generous mixed veggie house salad on the side. My husband went for the chicken schnitzel platter, which was served with rice, hummus, a big basket of pita, and some sliced bread that we shared, along with a side salad. They serve the real deal with bottled Coca-Cola here. I can only imagine their pizza is great, and the sandwiches looked amazing too, so we will definitely be returning. I won’t miss out on another helping of potato salad for sure and am looking forward to trying more items from the menu!"

"I'd give this place a zero if I could. We decided to try it out because of the rating. But, it turned out to be very disappointing. I ordered chicken parm, which was a large piece of chicken, but so so flavor. The bed of spaghetti it sat on had not been drained properly and there was about 1/4 of water in the bottom of plate/bowl, so when I went to stir the sauce around, it became very watery. The sauce had very little flavor to start with, so this made it even less flavorful. My friend had eggplant parm, and she felt the same way about hers as I did about the chicken parm. She also ordered a gorgonzola salad and didn't realize she'd get a creamy dressing on it. When she requested just oil and vinegar instead, it arrived with 99% romaine (which was at least very fresh), about a dozen (if that) small crumbles of gongonzola, and what appeared to be a couple of cherry tomatoes cut up. Again, very disappointing. My husband had baked ziti with sausage. He said thank goodness for the sausage, because the pasta had no flavor. When I tasted it, it tasted like wax. We were offered cheese and pepper, but had to remind the waiter to bring it. He appeared to have more tables than he could handle. We then ordered dessert, the tiramisu came frozen couldn't even get the spoon through it and cheesecake with raspberry sauce that was very bitter. The cheesecake itself was good, but most places order their cheesecake from other places, so guessing that's what they did here. We figured out of everything we ordered, we'd get one good meal and one good dessert, but we figured wrong. Save your money (they are not cheap). Go elsewhere."
