"I honestly wanted to love this place trust me, and I’m hoping the night I went was just a bad night. That being said I was very disappointed in the service as well as the food. Our server took almost half an hour before greeting us and mind you we had a reservation… We waited a while for our food for it to come out cold, unfortunately that was the last time we saw our server. The food was OKAY, and after waiting for so long and still getting it cold we were kind of just over it. On our plates you could clearly see that only one oxtail was eaten out of the entire dish and my friends as well had barely taken more than 2 bites. Tell me why the first chance I see my server I ask if they could just take it back so we could pay for our drinks and the one meal that was actually eaten, they said the best they could offer was 15% off the bill because we didn’t tell our server sooner. Never have I had to pay for a meal I didn’t eat, and the whole experience is sad to me. Growing up island in Miami, supporting this restaurant was something I was looking forward to, and even if I didn’t like the food I still would’ve supported. The way we were treated last night just turned me all the way off and the only reason I feel like I should warn people is because you can get better oxtail for a cheaper price with more acceptable service, and there are plenty of restaurants on the same street with better vibe’s…OKAY UPDATE: I called the GM and he was more than apologetic for my experience and has given me a refund for my experience. He explained that they were short staff and with a new staff so that’s why there were issues. After talking with him I am definitely willing to give it a better rating than 1 and I’d try it again once the staff gains a little more experience since it is a new restaurant."

"I can't believe I have driven past this place so many times and missed this gem. One day at work, I was looking up Jamaican restaurants in Queens Village and came across Jenivieve's J Rotisserie. I had stopped by on a Saturday to order the curried chicken, rice and peas (with potatoes and carrots and cabbage..lunch special. I got home and my wife and I could not believe how good that food was. I have checked out nearby West Indian restaurants, but none of them compare to Jenivieve's J Rotisserie! I had to go back! So on my way home from work on a Thursday night..I had called in (around 5:15 pm and spoke to the friendly young lady who serves the food. I had ordered the curried goat dinner and wifey wanted the curried chicken dinner (both scrumptious! . The plantains were already gone (I can only imagine how good the sweet plantains are . My wife wanted me to order the j salmon since we have read so many good reviews about it. Man oh man..I got home....my wife was enjoying the whole salmon and forgot to let me try it before it was all gone! I did try piece of that salmon and hands down...this place knows how to cook j salmon....very impressed! My family is from Jamaica, West Indies, and I can confirm that the food here is IRIE and trust me...after tasting the food once...you will have to come back and order more. I don't even want to order from any other Jamaican restaurant. Oh yeah, by the way, I love the reggae music that they play in the restaurant and they have a good seating area for a nice sized party."

"A taste of Jamaica in Every Bite: My amazing experience at Lee’s Kitchen Tucked away from the bustling streets, Lee’s Kitchen is a hidden gem that transports you straight to the heart of Jamaica with every bite . From the moment I walked inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere—infused with reggae rhythms, the aroma of allspice, and walls adorned with colorful Caribbean art, made me feel like I’d stumbled into a lively Kingston eatery. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, and the food? An absolute triumph of flavorful tradition. Let’s start with the jerk chicken, a dish that embodies the spirit of Jamaican cuisine. The chicken arrived tender and smoky, its charred edges shining with a marinade that balanced fiery scotch bonnet heat with earthy allspice, sweet hints of sweetness, and a whisper of thyme. Every bite was a masterpiece in spice layering—bold but never overwhelming, leaving just enough tingle on the tongue to keep me reaching for more. Paired with dirty rice, speckled with red beans and fragrant with coconut milk and spices, it was a harmony of comfort and complexity. Then came the oxtail a dish that deserves its own fanbase. The meat fell off the bone with a gentle nudge, luxuriating in a rich, velvety gravy that tasted like it had been simmered for days. Savory, slightly sweet, and deeply aromatic with garlic, ginger, and spices, it was served alongside the same irresistible dirty rice, which soaked up the sauce like a sponge. This was hearty, soul-nourishing food—the kind that makes you close your eyes and sigh with gratitude. What truly elevated Lee’s Kitchen, though, was its authentic Jamaican aura. The staff greeted guests like family, sharing recommendations with genuine warmth. The playlist was a seamless mix of classic reggae and dancehall. It’s rare to find a restaurant that feels both undiscovered and timeless, but Lee’s Kitchen nails it. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and every dish tasted unmistakably homemade—no shortcuts, just passion, love, and tradition. Whether you’re a spice enthusiast or someone craving comfort food with depth, this spot delivers and provides. In a world of overhyped eateries, Lee’s Kitchen is a treasure. It’s more than a meal; it’s a celebration of Jamaican culinary spirit. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor: grab a seat, order the jerk chicken and oxtail, and let the flavors—and the good vibes—wash over you. One love, one meal, one happy stomach indeed!
