"We went for Valentines and decided to try their Valentine’s Day Special: 3 course meal, Salad, choice of 4 entree’s, and desert. No prices were indicated but no big deal. My wife selected the Chicken dish while I selected the rib-eye. The salad was quite small on a fairly large dish but it was tasty. Mixed greens with a bit of jicama, avocado, and bell pepper with a balsamic vinaigrette. The main course was mediocre, while my rib eye was cooked exactly as ordered (medium), it was void of all but it’s own flavor (not even salt), I don’t know what they seasoned the potatoes with but they were the salvation of the dish, they were quite tasty. My wife’s chicken dish was a 2-3 pieces of shrimp, covered by a chicken breast smothered in a sour cream sauce. I was able to taste this dish, and while it wasn’t bad, it also was nothing to write home about. It was just passable. The waiter presented us with our desert options: tres leches, sopapillas and one other that I don’t recall. I chose the tres leches and she chose the sopapillas. The tres leches was good, but again, not something to write home about. The sopapillas were dry and relatively flavorless, it wasn’t until she got half way through her desert that the waiter remembered to bring out the honey and she realized why it seemed dry and flavorless. When the check came, I was quite confused by why we’re we’re being charged $14 for deserts. When we asked the waiter about it he didn’t seem to know what we’re were talking about but apologized, took the check and consulted the manager before removing it from the check. $55 later we were out the door and not looking back. While it really wasn’t a bad experience, it definitely wasn’t enough for me to say I’d go back for any reason."
