"The ambiance is really nice but the booth felt a little snug for 5 people. I would have preferred a table for a business lunch seating. Service was great and the food was beautifully presented. I had the chicken kabobs which could have been better seasoned but still pretty good. Fried cheese and roasted prawns were very good. For desert I enjoyed the rice pudding and cookies to share."

"I really liked the vibe of the place: in door/out door patio. Beautiful night and well designed. The service was excellent everyone was very attentive and almost exceedingly helpful. The food and the wine were unfortunately just ok. Nothing exceptional which I was expecting because of the prices. I had the duck at our waiter's highly and assertive recommendation. It was good but nothing really special. My friend had the fish also good but again nothing special. I also had breakfast here (I was staying at the hotel). Again, it was ok I felt they tried really hard, but the food didn't wow me which is a shame because I really did like other aspects of the place. Want to point out in case it's important: not veggie or vegan friendly."

"This restaurant may not have the same old-fashioned charm as Old Homestead, but it still delivers. One unique feature is that it allows both smoking and dining, which is quite novel. I also appreciate the convenience of the OpenTable reservations system. However, upon entering without a host, the bartenders could be a bit friendlier. They seemed very focused on serving one customer at a time, leaving others in line feeling unimportant. Despite this initial impression, once seated, the experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the manager was attentive. My only suggestion would be for the bartenders to slow down a bit - they seemed a little too serious and rushed."

"It had been awhile since the last time here. Previously, the food was very well prepared, the staff was friendly and the environment clean. As we entered, the first thing that hit me was the mustiness. The other observations were: -there was a sign stating there will be 3.5% additional charge on credit cards -the tables were all marred, scarred, scratched and/or not level -the floor under the table and elsewhere had debris mashed into it. The entire feeling of the restaurant was dead/no life and has capital issues. Between the intense mustiness and viewing the less than clean area, we walked out after being seated; but, before ordering anything. Disappointed that this establishment is nothing as it once was in the past."

"very disappointed. oliv pit is by no means a "fine culinary experience", in ambiente, eating or otherwise. tables are very close together, with other males who knock each time in their chair. we were placed at a table near the refrigerator, where the wee are kept, so every time a server needs to pour a glass wee, they came very close to our table. the food was not well prepared (salmon was undercooked and had to be sent back, potatoes were cooked 1/2). although some meal times come with 2 ' sides, ' their version of a side Greek salat was literally 3 pieces salat, 1 tomaten and nothing else. when we asked if this was the 'side 'Greek-Salat, they brought another small bowl of a traditional Greek salate, but only for one of us, although we both ordered one. we wanted to try this restaurant, but do not go back. extremely disappointed that we made the mistake of trying this place for our jubilee...oh, and also no recognition of our jubilee, although we noticed it on our open table reservation. Why do they ask us if we are celebrating something special if they do not want to at least confirm it."

"However, the service left much to be desired. The cocktail menu featured only bourbon and rye-based drinks, which makes sense since they distill those spirits themselves. As I don't drink bourbon or rye, I ordered a gimlet. The waiter looked at me as if I had just landed from Mars and said, "I don't think I can do that." When I inquired if they had a full bar, he confirmed they did, but claimed it would be too complicated to make something off the menu. Eventually, he begrudgingly agreed to prepare my drink, though not without some visible annoyance. In fact, a woman sitting behind me remarked that she didn’t think it should be so difficult to order a gimlet. When my drink finally arrived, it was quite good. However, the waiter continued to shout commands to other staff, drowning out the music and making the atmosphere feel tense. Each patron around me seemed much calmer than he was, and the best way I can describe his demeanor is as surly. It's a shame because if they can't be more accommodating to their customers, it could really affect their business."

"Location-wise, the entrance is closer to Mariposa Street in Florida, so don’t rely solely on Google Maps for directions. It's just a few blocks from the BART station, with MUNI stops nearby. The restaurant is situated in a quieter area between Mission Bay and Mission, providing a relatively peaceful and pleasant neighborhood. Ambiance: The space is roomy with plenty of seating options, including outdoor seating, high tables, banquette seating, and tables for two or four. Food & Beverage: The coffee is excellent, and the menu is extensive with generous portions, especially for their salads. They offer non-dairy options like soy, oat, and almond milk for lattes and cappuccinos. The pastry selection is more limited compared to other places. Additionally, tea and kombucha are available. Service: I’m not sure if I just happened to visit at a bad time or if the barista was having a rough day, but I was greeted with a sulky, unhappy demeanor. However, the staff was still efficient in preparing the coffee and the food arrived quickly. Wifi: Very reliable Restrooms: Clean Large tables: Yes Outlets: Plenty available"

"I really enjoy the laid-back and relaxed vibe of this place. Every time I visit, the staff has been friendly and well-informed. The food is fantastic! Some of our favorites include the sautéed Brussels sprouts with pancetta—so tasty! The quesadilla filled with chicken, peppers, and lots of cheese is another hit! The pizza of the day always impresses! Last night, we had the lamb meatball pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, which had just the right amount of sauce, and the crust was thin and perfectly crispy. Absolutely delicious!"

"not a typical caffe. the staff was very friendly and they can say that eating is made with high quality ingredients. it is a very relaxed caffe, in which they find people working on computers or reading. I have the breakfast burrito with potatoes and verde salsa. it was pretty good and a tonne eat to fill them. Unfortunately, it was mainly kartoffel and nothing else was really up to me. I really still enjoyed it because it would not be a typical breakfast burrito that she would find in any regular caffe. had to sneak a cinnamon before I left and that was good. huge bottom was the incredibly small breakfast menu. They could use at least a few more supplements. otherwise this is a nice little alternative to a standard café that they would find on the road!"
