"The ham and cheese empanada was decent, while the salmon empanada rated only a 4 out of 10—it felt like it was missing something, perhaps a touch of care. The roasted pork tasted old and bland, primarily greasy without any distinct flavor. I ended up tossing that in the trash, and there’s no way I’d go back to eat there again. Cooking Latin food requires traditional methods, passion, and love.
The carne asada tacos were tough, stale, and chewy, although the seasoning was good; they just weren’t tender or well-marinated. To top it off, they gave me an extra one that I didn’t even ask for. The fish taco was suspicious, filled mostly with tiny chunks of fried fish that lacked flavor, so that too ended up in the trash.
However, their juice was really good. The chicharrón was underwhelming—I didn’t even get the extra piece I expected. It had very little flavor, and the pickled onions seemed more like a garnish rather than a proper side. I strongly advise against ordering the garlic mofongo; it’s just terrible if it’s rushed and poorly cooked, especially when it’s burnt on the bottom. This restaurant is now on my never again list after just one visit."
