"Bulla has been one of our favorite places for years but unfortunately things seem to have changed. I can only imagine that the place is under new management since our experience was so different. We went for dinner on Friday night and immediately notice a couple things. A big sign saying that they no longer accepted cash, just credit cards. The other was that it was much slower than it used to be on a Friday at 7:30, and we now know why. The food was still good outside the the churros we had for desert that tasted like freezer burnt twigs. The problem was everything else. The table‘s first round of drinks took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. The waitress apologized profusely several times and in the end, the drinks were comped. Remember… I said the place wasn’t very busy. My beer was brought to me in a can. Don’t think I ever had a can served to me in a nice restaurant. No glass, just a can. Our 2nd round of drinks took nearly 20 minutes and this time I was served a can, unopened. I don’t even believe that’s legal when you don’t have a package license. I guess I’m now going out to dinner only to open up my own beer. The worse part of the experience was that the restaurant seemed in a hurry to go home. At 9:20 they turned up the lights… you know, like when a bar turns up the lights to tell you they’re closing. Mind you, they close at 10. The check was hurriedly given to us and we felt pressured to pay quickly. We asked if we could order a round of drinks to take up to the rooftop bar and we got them oddly quickly this time. So at 9:30 we paid and took our drinks up to the rooftop…except the rooftop bar was closed… at 9:30 on a Friday night. Why bother having a rooftop bar? We took our drinks outside to a table on the street but before we could enjoy our drinks, employees started putting up the chairs and cushions all around us. We finally gave up and left. Always makes me sad when good restaurants stop caring about the guest experience and then wonder why business tank"

"Date: July 4, 2024 I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant that almost earned a five-star review. Both our appetizer and main courses were outstanding and packed with flavor. Our waitress, Sheena, was exceptional—one of the best I've ever encountered. The atmosphere was classy and upscale, making for a lovely evening. The reason I gave four stars instead of five was the portion sizes, which felt on the smaller side for the price. However, the Bayou Broccoli appetizer was absolutely phenomenal, topped with green onions, shredded cheese, and bacon bits, accompanied by a delicious sauce on the side. I ordered the catfish platter, which was perfectly cooked and had a delightful spicy kick typical of South Louisiana cuisine. My wife enjoyed the Eggplant Pirogue, which was nothing short of outstanding (I had to try some!). The only downside was the misleading advertisement of 'crab claws'—there was only one crab claw in the dish. Our son went for the seafood platter, and he was really pleased with his meal as well. Sheena's service was top-notch; she was genuinely friendly, had great interpersonal skills, and was quick on the uptake. She was articulate, knowledgeable about the menu, and always seemed to come by at the perfect moments—never too often, never too infrequent. Our drink glasses were never empty, which was much appreciated. It was evident that Sheena was genuinely invested in providing excellent service and representing Copeland's well. Thank you for that great experience! Additionally, there was ample parking and plenty of handicapped spaces, which we always appreciate."

"Don?t let the good looks of this meal fool you! I absolutely love to take my sons out on Friday night to enjoy dinner while reflecting over the past week. When I tell you we had the worst experience ever!!! Keep in mind it was Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty, so the food came right out. But to our surprise the food was ice cold. Not lukewarm, but ice cold!!! The waitress could tell by our expression that something was wrong, She merely took the foodback and explained that the food would be fresh. To our surprise again, the plate What?s hot but the food was still cold. So right then and there you can tell they didn?t remake the food they just warmed it in the microwave. So for thesecond time, they had to warm our food again by this point it?s been over 30 minutes. So when we finally got the food at the right temperature, it wasn?t even worth eating. They must have made a mistake with this crawfish sauce because ithas so much black pepper that It wasn?t even edible. To make matters worse once I got the check for $87, the waitress said I?m gonna go speak to my manager because you?ve had a horrible experience with our kitchen concerning your foodSurely he will take something off this bill. Boy we were both wrong???? she apologize and explain that is never happened before. Of course I asked to speak to him because we sent our food back twice, and then we could barely eat it. Afterwaiting 15 minutes for him to come talk to us he comes with the worst attitude he explained since they FINALLY got it right, He didn?t feel he should take something off of the bill. His name is Brian. Because of his nasty attitude I do notsee me and my family returning here. It wasn?t even the part that he didn?t take anything off the bill it was his horrible treatment towards me and my family. If it wasn?t for the waitress being so nice, I would?ve politely just walked outof there. In all of my years coming here, I never was treated so nasty."
