"I dropped in for a quick meal before an event and chose to have salads. I ordered the bacon salad, which was flavorful, but I felt it didn’t quite justify the price. On the bright side, the dressing was really enjoyable. Unfortunately, the coffee was quite disappointing—this isn’t the place to go for coffee. My date ordered the chicken salad and absolutely loved it, which is impressive given his picky nature. That alone gives the restaurant a positive mark. Although the portion sizes were a bit small, I still left feeling satisfied."

"Our server, Keris, gave good suggestions and was very efficient and accommodating with special requests. Our best choices in terms of taste and value were the Happy Hour tacos. My son loved the pulled pork and I enjoyed the pollo verde (only available during Happy Hour, not on the regular menu which begs the why??? question . The house made(? corn tortilla was so so but my son seemed happy with the flour tortillas that he requested for his tacos. I really liked the fresh slaw mixture that was on the toppings bar for the Happy Hour items. The queso was mediocre at best and I would not recommend ordering it. I ordered a two taco plate. My side choice of a salad was lovely with fresh, colorful mixed greens, a sprinkling of corn and black beans, some peppers and sliced avacado. I chose the buffalo chicken taco which was nicely spiced but WAY too acidic. The second taco on the plate was the shrimp taco, which was so so (no distinguishable flavor in the marinade/sauce . Based on our food, I would recommend Tacos and Tequila for Happy Hour but not so much for regular meal service."

"It had been over 2 years since we visited this Snuffer 's and it might have been my last visit. We selected Snuffer 's figuring we could watch the NCAA softball world series and enjoy a meal. Neither happened. All of the TV 's were tuned to one of two baseball games. When we asked about getting a corner tv on the softball game we were told the barkeeper was the keeper of the remotes and the waitress would check and see if he would change the channel. We asked more than once and he never showed up. We watched the game on our phone. Now the meal. It wasn 't much better than the tv service. My wife had a burger and a small order of cheese fries. The burger had an ok review. I ordered the hot dog with chili, no mustard. The restaurant wasn 't very busy but it seemed like we had a long wait. When our meal showed up I had to ask about my chili because the waitress had forgotten it. I wasn 't impressed with the hotdog 's appearance on the plate. It had way to much cheese on it and the cheese had turned rubbery. Once I figured out how I was going to eat this mess, fork and knife, there was no way you were picking it up. There was mustard on it. It took awhile to flag down our waitress to send it back. She knew it wasn 't supposed to have mustard on it and the kitchen missed it. By the time my replacement showed up my wife had finished her meal. When the check came I was surprised that my meal hadn 't been discounted or that we hadn 't been offered a dessert or something for the problems. I didn 't create an issue about the errors and maybe I should have. I just know there are so many dining choices in the area there is no reason to frequent somewhere where you get such bad service."

"Very rare to be so impressed with the food. We got Brussels sprouts and matador bowl and both were exemplary. Brussels sprouts had the perfect crunch and soft from inside with the right spices. "The only reason it even gets two stars is because I spoke to management and he was accommodating. A friend and I came in and asked if we could sit on the patio. A waitress stops us and says I am not meaning to rush you or anything, but if you want to get food, order now because the kitchen will be closing soon We respect that. We are given menus and seated by a male host immediately. Less than 3 min later, out of the corner of my eye, I see a waitress (lighter skin, very short blonde hair) walk up to a table behind us (her friend was sitting there from what it looked like, because she was sitting down with her) Anyway, she walks up to her friend 's table and does a full stop when she sees us... like an I know they didn 't put someone else in my section stop. I felt the energy. And saw all this out of the corner of my eye. So, she comes around and tells us the kitchen is closed. We inform her they just told us that we had time to order. No, the manager told me to tell y 'all the kitchen is closed We sat there for a while and caught up, but left shortly after. The waitress was just sitting down talking to her friend for the majority of the time we sat there, sometimes leaving I guess to work and then coming back to sit down again. I called back and asked to speak to management (right at 11:27pm) and I asked what time does the kitchen close? He said the kitchen isn 't closed until 11:30 45. I told him his waitress informed us at 11:13 that he said it was closed. He said that was not correct information, and he offered me free wings next visit. Honestly, had I been the one hungry and ordering food I would 've pushed that issue when she spat that lie in the first place. It felt like a lie. I wonder how much money Boomerjacks loses due to sorry employees like her who don 't want to work but rather talk to their friend on the patio during their shift. I 've visited highland Boomerjacks twice and both times I 've had some type of issue..."

"There’s really good positives and really bad negatives with this place. Positives: Fried pickle mushroom appetizers were great. The Dr Pepper BBQ Bacon Burger was fantastic, The Classic burger was tasty; Negatives: The Margaritas (i had 2 different)were horrendous, I had to return the 2nd one. The fried chicken strips was over cooked. A couple of the backup servers came offa bit rude, our server (redhead) was very kind and considerate. Will probably not ever choose to eat here again."

"Most of the water and alcoholic drinks at this restaurant are seasoned with Tajin. I'm not sure if it's because of dirty glasses or if it's being spilled everywhere. The waitress mentioned that it was probably spilled by the bartender. The food was tasty, but the service was lacking. We arrived 8 minutes late for our reservation and called 30 minutes in advance to inform them, but they still cancelled our reservation online. When we arrived, they seated us in a corner despite there being plenty of empty tables. After waiting 10 minutes without any water, chips, or salsa, we decided to move ourselves to one of the other empty tables. Although they complained, they eventually accommodated the move. It was frustrating to only see the waitress once for a drink order after being at the restaurant for 20 minutes. It took a total of 40 minutes just to place a food order and another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. From sitting down to receiving our food, it took an hour and 15 minutes, including two rounds of drinks. It seems like this is not the place to go unless you have about two hours to spare. This experience occurred on a Friday night at 5pm when there were only 35 people in the restaurant. I heard from the women in our group that the women's restroom had no light and no toilet paper. Despite the good food, the service was definitely lacking."

"This place is amazing. As soon as I sat down Mario behind the bar greeted me; made me feel super welcome. I ordered a spicy Paloma, and it's probably the best one I've had in a while, and he doesn't taking the rim, he tajin's half the frickin' glass which is awesome. Then they brought out chips and guacamole or green sauce of some sort. It was nice somewhat thick texture, tart and flavorful, (nithing worse than a bland sauce)but the CHIPS, the chips kinda stole the show, which is odd. I just have never tasted chips that freshly toasted out of the oven before.I asked for more sauce, and he brought it right away with a whole new batch of chips. And the bacon wrapped1 poppers were excellent, and not your ordinary out of the freezer poppers. These bad boys were clearly made in the kitchen and they didn't disappoint. Compliments to the chef.Mario, without asking me, brought me a shot of their frozen passion fruit margaritas slushy. And that was also really really great. Wish I was hungrier, and didn't get buzzed so quick, but can't wait to go back. Great casual, spot for friends, family or a fun date with excellent, well, everything!P.s. almost forgot about the quesabirria. It was perfect. So good, just get it."
