"I am adding a star to my review. The general manager called and followed up to apologize for my negative experience. He personally took the time to address the issues, which shows concern. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse from there. Our food was served at different times and our waitress mentioned that someone had messed up our order. The credit card machine broke down after we had already boxed our leftovers, and they wanted to write down our card information on a piece of paper, which was not secure. The chaos was evident in the restaurant, and even the police had to be called at one point because a customer was so angry. The manager never came to our table, even after waiting for half an hour and asking for her multiple times. The staff seemed unorganized and there was a lack of competence on the night shift. Overall, this was a service issue that could have been handled better. The meatloaf tasted old and the salad was watery. I have visited Miller's Ale House before and never had an experience like this. The situation was a complete mess and the handling of the staff was the main reason for the disorder. It's disappointing to go to a restaurant where the system is not working, and I had to wait so long to pay while being treated poorly. I understand that things can go wrong, but the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. It's clear that this restaurant is in trouble."

"I was visiting friends in the area and told them of my desire to have a great hamburger while in the US (I live in the UK, where hamburgers, like most of the food, are pretty terrible) and the very first suggestion was Miller's. We visited at dinner time on Sunday, 26 March, 2023. Although I just had the basic cheeseburger, it had far from basic flavour. The burger had a great crust, which is the hallmark of a great burger. To that, add the long crinkle cut dill pickle slices, add the lettuce tomato, add the bacon and the condiments of your choice (I went with the burger standard ketchup mustard) and this cheeseburger is a flavour explosion in your mouth with every bite. I cannot say enough about how good this hamburger was....I'm running out of adjectives. The sides were standard but well executed, especially the onion rings. They were very crispy yet were light and not greasy at all....clearly whomever was manning the fryer that night knew how to cook great food. The atmosphere at Miller's Ale House is traditional American sports bar, so plenty of televisions with a plethora of both screens and sporting choices for your viewing pleasure. To top it all off, the drinks selection is fantastic. Miller's deserves special praise for carrying New Belgium Brewing Company's Fat Tire on tap. I have been drinking Fat Tire for 30+ years and was very happy to see it on the menu. Overall I just love everything about Miller's Ale House. I so wish they would open a branch where I live...they would make a killing."

"The indefatigable Wing Brigade at our company has ordered wings from Hollywood Ale House on Friday for years ... and while some weeks are better than others, even the lesser weeks are greater than the sum of all those chicken parts. Or that's what we tell the president of our company, a raw foods aficionado inevitably appearing to pale at the sight of our feasting. Probably at the mere thought as well on days when he's not in when the wings arrive. Although, on one occasion he was game enough to join us with his own supply of some tofu like substance, which pleased us no end. The aroma of Hollywood Ale House wings, from first moments of arrival, is unmistakable, and the lingering effects divine. Yes, there was the time the kitchen erred in sending them out breaded, leaving us with what seemed like a bucket of baseballs. And there was the memorable week the wings were so small we wondered if they'd come from Cornish game hens. One of our colleagues an occasional winger wishes that they would arrive charred to a crisp his personal preference. Another colleague he of the weak stomach only joins us when he forgets his lunch. Sometimes the supply of accompanying celery and bleu cheese sauce is overly generous, and occasionally it's on the skimpy side. Sometimes the celery gets plopped on top of piping hot wings, arriving at our conference room in a state that's semi braised. But usually it's crisp, chilled and ready to crunch. The Mount St. Helens sauce for those who like it hot is enough to ward off most evil, and most of the office germs. Yes, Wings Unlimited, Wings Forever. The Hollywood Ale House menu shows that it serves a lot of other crowd pleasers, but how would we know? We are pure and simply the Wing Brigade."

"I went to the Miller’s in Commack last Friday night with my boyfriend. It was his first time trying Miller’s and I am so embarrassed that this is how we were treated his first time there. I usually go to the one in Deer Park and I regret choosing the Commack location. We arrive and there were only 3 other tables being serviced not busy at all. We arrived at 11pm 2 hours before closing so we thought we would order something quick and easy so we can leave the latest an hour before closing. The waitress brings out our drinks and appetizer quickly. We ordered Zingers mac and cheese and a chicken Caesar salad as our entrees thinking it will be brought out quickly. The waitress is at the bar just cleaning up and chatting not busy. After 45 mins passes she comes back to our table and asks us confirm our order which she recited back to us incorrectly. After I corrected her I asked how much longer the food will be and she said about 10 minutes. Im guessing our food order was never placed and it was going to take them 10 minutes to actually make it. I declined waiting for the food and asked for the check. We were seating facing the kitchen and the chef was just standing there doing nothing but giving my boyfriend very bizarre looks the entire time we were seated there. We felt uncomfortable getting our food prepared by him so we left. We honestly didn't feel safe or welcome being the only two Black people there at the time we left. Im really so disappointed."
