"I placed a pick-up order and they forgot one black bean. The bread had an unpleasant taste, and the lamb shank meat was tough. The chicken was overcooked, and the palomilla steak was very hard. On the positive side, the rice and black beans were good, and they included three maduros as a side, which were quite tasty. However, I've never encountered a Cuban restaurant that only provided three maduros. They also gave us a large portion of white rice that we didn’t order. Overall, I won't be returning."

"I will give 5 starts , food was tasty specially the house potatoes which is not on the menu there are three choices of potatoes not on the menu) , I order the tortilla Guajira , which a big omelette with all the meats sausage links, bacon, ham and chopped beef) with onions and tomatoes, and a pice of cheese on top, plenty to eat, the cafe con leche was good came with bread ,the fresh squeezed orange juice is not on the breakfast menu sadly, otherwise I will order , I think they need to add the good things like empanadas and the kind of cuban breakfast breads they have on the breakfast menu, the service was friendly and attentive.Parking: Plenty spaces to park in the plaza"

"During our visit to Miami Beach, our hotel recommended Little Havana to us. Despite having dined at a more upscale Cuban restaurant earlier in the week, we found the food at Little Havana to be superior. We particularly loved the empanada appetizer and the Five Star Combo for Two left us feeling satisfied. The lamb shank stood out as exceptional. Our companions ordered the Little Havana Steak and also enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was attentive, and the parking lot had security. If we find ourselves in Miami Beach again, we will definitely be returning to Little Havana."

"First time there based on Yelp reviews. 6:40pm on a Saturday night. Not busy at all. We seated ourselves and waited almost 10 minutes for our waitress to show up. We asked some questions about different dishes and she seemed not to know much about them. For an appetizer, I ordered plantain chips with garlic and oil (Mariquitas). My wife ordered Filetill Pollo Ajillo (Garlic Chicken). I ordered Chicken Milanesa (Chicken cutlet covered with ham and cheese). Both came with 2 sides. 15 minutes later, and no chips, I reminded the waitress they were supposed to come out BEFORE the main dishes and she acted like she had forgotten them. Still not busy. These should be served warm but had sat waiting for her to pick them up so they were cold. Even though we took our time eating them the main courses came out just as we were finishing them. What did she bring?? 2 of MY dishes! So we had to send one back and wait for my Wife's to finally come out correctly which turned out to be very bland with hardly no garlic flavor. Mine turned out to be a flattened chicken breast heavily breaded and deep fried. No flavor. We both have had these dishes at other restaurants which were much better than here. The portions were large and the price was fine. $20.20 less tax, no drinks. After waiting 15 minutes for our check, my wife went to find our waitress and she was behind a divider wall eating. We will NOT be back."

"This was our first time at Little Havana, but we will definitely return. The food was very good and plenty of it for a reasonable price. We ordered 6 different dishes and all sampled all of them and agreed they were all delicious. Service was very good, even though the restaurant was quite crowded. There was live music throughout most of the evening, which was a bit loud for my taste, but enjoyable and did add to the atmosphere."

"My coworkers and I celebrated my boss's surprise birthday party here and had a great time. I called like 4 or 5 times to change and confirm our reservations and they were very understanding. When we got there, our waitress Erika was extremely helpful and accommodating. She set up the balloons we brought in the middle of the table and washed the birthday girl's special wine glass. We ordered pitchers of red sangria and mojitos which were delicious. We got 2 appetizer samplers for 11 people but I think we could have gotten 3. For entrees we ordered the vaca frita, ropa vieja, lechon, shrimp in coconut sauce, and Caribbean fried rice. EVERYTHING was delicious. The flavors were authentic and balanced. The portions were generous. The service was great. For dessert we had the flan which was creamy and light and the guava and cheese empanadas which were tart and sweet and salty all at the same time. I will definitely be there again!"

"The food offers excellent value for money—it's truly the best. However, the quality of the coffee seems to depend on the mood of the lady serving it. Like many women from a different era, she tends to be much nicer to men, which can be a bit of a challenge. So, if you're a woman who values good treatment, this might not be the right place for you. Additionally, I've found that whenever I order online, I never receive the colada that I asked for."

"This is a charming little cafe with delicious food, outstanding service, and delightful people. We went here for a late lunch, after skipping breakfast, and tried a variety of dishes. We ate every scrumptious morsel of our Cuban sandwich (shared), tamales, fried yucca, and flan. The Pampy's flan is different from the recipe that I make at home, but we liked it very much. The café con leche was delicious. We took two types of guava pastries with us and gobbled them up as a snack later. Our only regret is that we didn't stop here sooner. As a Tampa native, I am always looking in our Fort White/ Lake City area for my version of home cooking, and I have finally found it. We will be back as often as our waist lines can take it. We can't wait to try their breakfasts and their dinner entrees. They will be seeing us next week!"

"I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. They messed up my order by sending the wrong sides, including yucca and items I don’t eat. The pork chops were overcooked, and the service seemed inconsistent—one order was fine, while the next was a nightmare. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the Ground Beef Creole (Picadillo), as it wasn’t good at all. The only decent things I had were the black bean soup and white rice. Overall, I’m very disappointed."

"This restaurant is conveniently located near my workplace, and I occasionally drop by for some Latin cuisine. Recently, my friend and I were in the mood for a hearty soup, so we ordered a bowl of beef soup. Unfortunately, it was a bit salty and not quite hot enough. Thankfully, my friend speaks Spanish and was able to communicate this to a staff member, who was very friendly and promptly heated up my soup. We also tried the yucca empanada; it was a bit greasy but served hot and tasted great. Overall, the prices are reasonable, and the food has that comforting, home-cooked flavor."

"So the food was honestly pretty good. Not the best but for the price, it's actually good food and a great value for the quality. That said, the food is only good if you have the time to wait for it and the patience to send back incorrect orders. I went there for the second time and can't believe this place is even still in business the service is so unbelievably bad. The manager was borderline incompetent without any sense of urgency or respect for our time. We waited 16 minutes to just receive our menus. After placing our order, we waited 1 hour and 1 minute to get our salad and soup. That's right, two things that are pre-made, salad and soup. The salad then came without to correct ingredients so we waited another 11 minutes for them to send the correct ingredients. We assume the waiter never put our order in but the manager didn't check and the waiter blamed the kitchen. After spending close to 90 minutes on all of this, we finally got our apps. At the almost 2 hour mark, our waiter apparently gave up and was tired of us asking where our food is and pawned us off onto a waitress who did her best to fix the situation. She was the only person there who even cared we spent about 3 hours there from start to finish and were basically ignored as everyone around us showed up after, got their food and were leaving. She was the only bright spot in an otherwise terrible night. The music was far too loud for a normal dinner conversation. There were rowdy regulars at the bar and at a table distracting the waiters and not ordering (very inappropriate to friends/regulars better than any other customers, especially when they aren't even ordering). Overall, the food isn't anything special and not good enough for me to endure the painful wait time again. I'll be surprised if they're still open in a year or two with the poor service and lack of management."

"Lo mejor café com leche y congris cubano de Austin! Yes, in my opinion, Tropicana has the best cafe con leite in Austin. I love coming to Tropicana because besides the food being very delicious, the waitress and waiter are very friendly and courteous, and the place is clean with a pleasant ambiance. My most favorite foods here are the café con leche, the freshly squeezed orange juice and the beef and chicken empanadas. I have tried almost all of their menu items and insone believe you can go wrong with any of them. I personally like the pan con lechon and the pan con bistec from the sandwich menu. The bistec and the lechon dishes are also really good and the sides are very good as well. I love the pasta salad, their congris is outta this world. I think it even has little pieces of bacon or tocino. The sweet plantains and definitely the yucca. Although I don’t like the sauce that comes with the yucca but it’s a personal taste. Even their sauce which seems to be a mix of spicy ketchup and maionese is soooooo so good! There is also a huge variety of sweets and desserts. I’ve only had the flan and the tres leches cake which are really good. Overall, if you are Cuban or Latin you will appreciate the seasoning that you are used to back home, this is your place! If you are not, I don’t believe you will not like this place if you a appreciate really good and tasty food."
