"Grim. Not being from Texas I didn 't realize this was a 'fast ' food chain. The pulled pork (I think) was ground to death and flavorless. There 's more taste in McD 's BBQ sauce. Cold drinks are served with so much ice there 's barely any room for thePepsi. At least the hash browns were good. Service was slow but friendly. It is mostly clean (mens washroom needed a deepclean), but the racks of boxes and supplies in the dining area added to the feeling of a chain on its last legs. UPDATE I askedthe server if what I had was pulled pork, but even he wasn 't sure. That says it all. I will say that the fried chocked lookedgood, but I was here for BBQ. Shocked that in the 21st century there 's no wifi for guests. Texas should be ashamed to callthis BBQ."

"Ordered food on Sunday, July, 30, 2023. Placed order of 3 pancakes and bacon at 9:20 am. The wife and I split that meal since it's filling. We were the only customers who were dining in and there were no cars in drive through. As I type this it is 9:41am and still no sign of my pancakes. No one offered an apology or explanation of why it was taking so long. We finally got our food at 9:50am. I rate the service, speed, and friendliness of staff (especially Angelia) one star. I rate the food four stars. The average is 2.5 stars which I graciously rounded up to 3 stars for this review. I'm from San Antonio and the bill millers there are so much better. I hope this review is seen by owners so they can do some training in customer service."

"bthis is the best pizza you can get in knox county. the people are always friendly and they are always treated like a person not only one thing I have ever ordered was amazing except their pineapple. it has 0 tastes gott made ground lol but their crust and sauce are one when an art. absolutely fantastic! there are 2 dings that brought my rating to 4 stars instead of 5. first they have to pick it up or order it by dine dasher, which is expensive. I wish they would rent a car. second they have to call to order and evening the line is busy and they need to call 5 different times to get through. I wish they would perform online order."

"The age old question what can I get started for you? Me: a #6 with turkey, itialan dressing and a sweet tea, please. I absolutely love Bill Miller salads. Go ahead and fight me and tell me no, there are better salads out there. I love the combination of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, bacon and cheese. It 's in a fitting container and it is always a nice cool meal to enjoy on a hot sunny day! Now I have watch the price increase on the salad and I am still very faithful on paying for it. Recently, the price went up and is now $9 almost $10.00 for thr combo. I didn 't mind, but what I do mind is how much smaller the salads are getting and less fresh. I like salads to have lots of color! Bright leafy greens and crisp cucumbers. All I 'm getting now is less green, the white of the lettuce and soggy cucumbers. Yes, I know it 's a bbq place. They specialize in brisket, sausage, fried chicken and fattening gravy/bbq sauce. Which I don 't care for. But for the tiny percent of people who do eat salads from here, going a little extra on the greens means a lot to us. It 's the little things. Who wants to eat a soggy, all lettuce hearts salad?? I will continue to order my salad and enjoy my tea because I love it!"

"I was really looking forward to trying a new barbecue place, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The sides were decent, but the chicken was dry and tough. The chopped beef brisket resembled a greasy bowl of chili. While the sliced brisket had a hint of smokiness, the sauce was lackluster – it had no tang, spice, or anything memorable. The marinated onions were just fine. Overall, I won't be ordering from this place again, nor will I dine in. If you're seeking good, authentic Texas barbecue, this isn't the spot."

"Excited about my first visit, I returned on Sunday at the same time, but this time I was disappointed. The same cashier was on duty and remained polite, but the quality of the food was noticeably inconsistent. Apart from the tea and sausage, I ordered a half pound of ribs, but everything else fell short. The chicken was the only redeeming item this time. I was told I would get extra sauce with the ribs, which I was looking forward to, but I only received a small cup, similar to the previous day. The ribs were the toughest I’ve ever had. The slaw, rice, and potato salad all seemed dry, as if they had been sitting out overnight. I’m not sure why the quality was so different this time, and I’m left questioning whether I should give it a third try. Once you place your order, it’s hard to address any issues, as I prefer everything to be neatly packaged so I can enjoy my meal while it’s still warm."

"Came in and ordered my food. There was not a single clean table so we wiped off the cleanest one on our own. When we came in there were two other tables that had people at them yet they were all dirty. Employees were on break even though the place was a mess and needed to be swept. We waited for over 30 minutes yet four other families after us were served. When we asked about our food we were lied to. They stated they were waiting on chicken. When my husband told him they brought chicken out to two other people they just turned and went to the kitchen. When they brought the food to us it was not freshly cooked. My husband ordered a breast and thigh and his thigh was the same size and you could see the breast had been cut in half. My daughter's chicken tenders were cold. Won't be returning."

"Made my first visit the other day, Had Jambalaya, Shrimp and Crab Gumbo, Red Beans and The Turkey Salad. Couldn't possibly eat it all between two people, but every thing was delicious! "Monday at 437 pm I went inside to order a family fried chicken. I was told I would have to wait 17 minutes. I said ok, because the last few times we tried to get fried chicken, we left instead of waiting. Normally the fried chicken is really good but isnever ready. While waiting I saw three people complain about the chicken orders, not getting pieces they ordered. I overheardthe manager says she had received 6 call backs this shift. Has to be some kind of complaints. I had asked for no thighs, and itwas printed on the receipt. When we got home 4 thighs in the box and the chicken was not completely cooked. Sad because whendone right they have good chicken."

"Wouldn't leave any stars but had to pick one to post my review. Horrible service. I waited 30 minutes for a 15 piece chicken, only so that the unprofessional staff could give my order to the wrong vehicle. Then the guy laughed about it, throwing hishands in the air and saying, oh well, not my fault there was 2 same vehicles. Which were not even the same. Same make butdifferent model. Spoke to the manager and all she could say was, ummm this order went out. Yeah, it went out to the wrongperson. She gave me my refund, but she didn't try to even fix the situation. Bad management and unprofessional staff. Ifthey're gonna make u wait for an order, they need a better process at identifying who ordered what and who the order belongsto!!!"

"items incorrectly made, missing extra items, missing toppings, missing requested bacon, some items had toppings that we did not request (relish . Chili was fantastic (only high point! , but burgers were tiny and not worth the high price. We did not like the relish at all, but that is personal preference. The problem is it was added to everything, even if we did not request it and it wasnt a listed ingredient. Quality issues, pricing issues, ingredient issues. Was excited to try this place, but that was first and last time we order unfortunately."

"I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but my experience has been quite different. I absolutely love Dirko's, as well as every other location, including Johnstown and Mount Vernon. The service is consistently excellent; the staff is friendly and quick, making the ordering process easy. My food has always been ready ahead of schedule and is always fresh! "The Triple Berry Shortcake is my favorite, especially when paired with a pot of English breakfast tea. The chocolate desserts are delicious, but they are quite rich—if I remember correctly, it was the raspberry chocolate cake that I tried. The lemon cake offers a refreshing taste, perfect if you're not into overly buttery desserts. I have SLJ on my phone and always call ahead to make sure they have the Triple Berry Shortcake, as it's my top pick. However, be cautious—too much of a good thing can be overwhelming. "This place is amazing! Traveling with tired, hungry children aged 3 and 5, I am a picky eater and germaphobe. Glen Junction was perfect. It was clean, polite, and not serving canned food. There were plenty of options to choose from and our bill for four people came to $32. The toy train circling the restaurant kept the kids entertained for a few minutes before digging into our meals. The staff was friendly, efficient, and always keeping the restaurant clean. I felt comfortable using the restroom. The location is great, near Storyland and only 15-20 minutes from the Mt. Washington Hotel. If you enjoy Polly's Pancakes on the other side of the mountain, this place is a strong competitor. In short, we would definitely dine here again."
