"I should have read the reviews... my family went and the service was great first, then our server couldn't even tell us what came in our food. He had to go and get someone to help us. I asked for extra things in my food and I didn't even get it! My daughter loved her food, but the rams are rough and fat and when I asked not to pay for our food, the manager began to ignore me and grab the check and smile on our table..."

"I never really find many sushi boat restaurants anymore (but a similar concept is being spread with kura with their conveyor system), but this one in south san jose is still one if the traditional sushi boat restaurants you'd find in the mid 2000's to mid 2010's! You can choose to sit around the sushi boats or sit at a booth as you wish. Like all other sushi boat restaurants, you grab little plates of sushi and depending on the plate it was served on, that was the price. Prices of sushi on the boats ranged from $4.30 to $10. On a lunch day like this, not too many sushi were on the boats unfortunately... maybe it might be more popular at dinner or weekends. If the sushis on the boat dont appeal too well, there are many more options available through their huge menu! There are teriyaki plates to bento boxes to even a unique burrito sushi roll style dish! I ordered a bento box and the beef tasted pretty good minus the sauce which felt flat. It came with soup and salad and rice as well as a orange and dumpling! The main highlight of the bento box though was the tempura! It was really crispy and well breaded and fried! I loved the sauce it came with as well! $20Service was very minimal and most interaction i had was just the payment as soon as i was done. But the place seemed to be well staffed and got around to anyone needing refills, etc.Overall it was a pretty good experience! Although the bento box kinda felt a little overpriced..."

"This is a fantastic casual sushi restaurant! Although it's a small space, it has a nice, calm atmosphere that really drew me in. It reminded me a lot of Path of Tea on Westheimer. I visited on Valentine's Day, expecting it to be crowded, but surprisingly, there weren't too many people there, which was unexpected given how delicious the food is. It has that cozy, hidden gem vibe. I particularly enjoyed the osumashi soup—it was packed with flavor—and the salmon was excellent as well! Everything tasted very fresh, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience felt genuinely authentic. I highly recommend checking it out!"

"We ordered spicy tuna rolls, California rolls, and Godzilla rolls for sushi. Everything was fresh, high-quality, delicious, and truly unforgettable! For the hibachi, we had scallops, a shrimp and vegetable mix, and brown rice. It just kept getting better. Highly recommended!"

"This is the place. Everything from sushi to udon to phenomenal Chinese- they have it all. Their cocktails are out of this world too! We have never had anything we didn 't love. We brought a college student from Beijing and she cried she was so happy to have 'real Chinese like my mom makes '."

"Small place, pretty plain inside. Mostly open area with tables and a sushi barCame in and was asked all you can eat or regular menu. Wasn't sure so they gave me both. Looked them over and decided to go with all you can eatThey do the ordering in rounds here, and you can do up to 4 rounds. They don't limit you but have Recommendations ofn3 rolls and 20 nigiri a round. They also have the standard AYCE rules about charging full price for unfinished items and riceOrdered 2 rolls and 8 nigiri to start. The Japanese lasagna baked roll is called crawfish over cheese and was good. Nice take on a classic. Also got the Tex mex roll and it was good but not as spicy as I'd hoped. Nigiri was good, fresh but small. Had all the usual suspects, tuna, salmon, yellowtail etc. I like more fish than rice and was opposite here but very tasty and freshFor round 2 I tried the shrimp tempura and tempura bananas. Both were excellent. You get 2 shrimps with the AYCE but was very light and tasty. Banal was really good and was my dessert. I only made it through 2 rounds. Service was a mixed bag. Server was friendly and very helpful. Answered all my questions and brought food with a smile. Only issue was he spent as much time making out with the hostess as waiting on tables. There was 3 tables while I was there, and we spent a lot of time waiting while they passionately made out, loudly kissing. I've been young and in love so I get it but was weird for sureI'd definitely come back"

"Pisces continues to be the frontrunner for sushi in the Lake Norman area. They consistently have the freshest fish, creative offerings and outstanding choices for those who are land lovers such as the wagyu burger or the Moco Loco. The service is attentive with suggestions being made to those who are new to the world of sushi. Their outdoor seating area is hip and one of my faves for happy hour with clients or friends. The entire outfit is professh and accomodating...so much so that after a few requests to look into a more robust cabernet offering, my wish was granted and last night I had 2 glasses of their new Herdsman Cab...silky, long finish and DELISH! Thanks to the manager; Rachel, who keeps this smooth ship running, listens to her clientele and understands customer service like few others."

"We had an incredible experience at Ooka Hibachi! We visited on a Sunday evening and although it is a walk-in only restaurant, we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table and another 20 minutes for our hibachi chef to start. During the wait, we ordered avocado rolls from the menu, along with soup and salad that came with the hibachi experience. We opted for the vegetable hibachi and the server was accommodating in making substitutions to cater to our vegetarian requests, such as replacing chicken broth with miso in the soup and switching egg fried rice with vegetable fried rice. They even prepared the vegetarian hibachi separately before starting the meat dishes. The fried rice and noodles were exceptional and the hibachi performance added to the overall fun dining experience. While we thought the prices were a bit high, the quality of the food made up for it. There is only one vegetable option available for hibachi, but the staff was very helpful in customizing it for us."

"Look closely and you can see I actually found more shrimp than chicken in my sesame chicken. Mostly breading. Been going here for a few years and the food has been consistently going downhill. This is my last time. Surprised the shrimp didn’t get noticed by the cooks as it is twice the size of any piece chicken I got. This may sound harsh, but this experience was exceptionally bad and the same sentiment was shared by all 4 people dining with me."

"I visited yesterday for lunch, and the kind owner made sure to check on me and my dogs while I ordered some grilled chicken for them since we were quite a distance from home after hiking in PV. I also had the fried oysters again, which were delicious, and the sushi was fantastic! I had a craving for sushi, and having been here before, I knew the food would be good. Today did not disappoint – the salmon sushi was fresh, and the fried oysters were simply amazing. The service was excellent, and I really appreciated that they were accommodating of my emotional support dog sitting with me at the outdoor dining area. Thank you!"

"the place is very much special on Sunday this day I and my daughter have been not here for about a year and still a great place. but something happened this day my daughter had bleeded a nose and her waitress helps her to handle this situation well and not embarrassingly and we could still enjoy our vater and daughter's date at night thanks."

"We've lived in Oceanside for several years and only recently found this gem of a place. Its right down the street from us in what is unfortunately strip mall. Nevertheless, once inside you forget about that. The interior is simple but clean. The service was very friendly and attentive. Our wait to be seated was short but gave enough time to peruse the menu posted on the exterior window. Our order was taken by a very friendly waitress. We order 4 sushi platters. They arrived in no more than 15 min. Everything tasted fresh and D... delicious. Between our party if 3 we left very satisfied and full. Great food at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place to whom ever I can. I just hope we can still find a seat on a Friday night."

"The food at this restaurant is excessively priced for the quality offered. My husband's soup portion was far from a proper serving. I ordered the seaweed salad, which was dry and lacked flavor, while the spring rolls were overly greasy and fell apart when the waiter delivered them. My husband ordered a drink, but it took so long to arrive that we eventually had to cancel the order because we had finished our meals. The sushi we received was cold, and considering we had ordered tempura, it should have been at least at room temperature. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning."

"I recently dined at a sushi restaurant that truly impressed me with its amazing sushi and sashimi selections. The highlight for me was the quality of the ingredients; it was evident that they only used the freshest fish and toppings. The sushi was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, featuring generous pieces of fish that made each bite an exquisite experience. If you're a sushi enthusiast like I am, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant—you won't be disappointed!"

"Delivery Meal Type: Dinner Price per Person: $30–50 Food Rating: 5/5 Service Rating: 5/5 Recommended Dish: Sushi I recently ordered dinner for delivery, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5. Each sushi roll was fresh and bursting with flavor, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used. The service was equally impressive; my order arrived promptly and was well-packaged. If you're considering a sushi night in, I highly recommend trying this restaurant!"

""The food was incredibly bland. My 13-year-old ordered ramen, and it had no flavor at all. I tried the lunch special, but it was equally tasteless. The boba was watered down as well. To top it off, the waitress was rude and didn't say a word until it was time to bring the bill. There were also too many flies buzzing around, which made for a terrible experience overall. I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.""
"Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Fish is flavorless/low quality, most of the food was bland, better sushi for similar prices elsewhere in the area. Service was good though. Preface: I've been here a handful of times for their 3 regular rolls for $17 lunch special. I didn't like the fish, but since it was cheap I figured why not. I stopped going because I liked the Publix $5 sushi Wednesday deal better. I came back this time to write a solid review of the experience, and it was all the same as when I used to go more often about 7 months ago. Atmosphere: Very clean. Mid-light ambience. Very spacious. Very quiet so you can enjoy conversation with your party. Food: I enjoyed the $5 sushi Wednesdays at the Publix across the street better. The Miso Soup interestingly had more flavor than the last “higher end” sushi restaurant I went to, but their veggies didn’t seem that fresh. The seaweed wasn’t tender at all, very tough. The ginger dressing for the salad was pretty bland and they could have done a better job pulling apart the salad. The pieces were very large, not easy to eat in one bite. The Saké Mule did not look very aesthetic at all and tasted watered down. We got the Maki Combo under the Sushi Bar Entrée Menu which includes three regular rolls and the ginger salad for $22. The Shrimp Tempura Roll had decent flavor with the eel sauce, but the tempura itself wasn’t as crispy as I expected. On a scale of sogginess to crispiness, I would give it a 6/10 The Caterpillar Roll had the best presentation in my opinion, but also had a somewhat similar issue. The Alaska Roll should have been my favorite since it had the most raw fish which I love. Unfortunately, the fish itself did not have any flavor. The spicy Mayo was also very scarce. As you can see in the photo, it’s very easy to miss that they included it at all. I would rather them have drizzled it over the entire roll. The end pieces were also obviously neglected. Overall, the fish(the most important part of sushi) was very bland. I didn’t enjoy it. Service: I went later in the evening about an hour and fifteen minutes before closing. It wasn’t busy. We were seated immediately. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Our waitress visited us frequently to make sure everything was fine. Our food came out very promptly. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks. The waitress noticed from across the restaurant and immediately brought me another pair without being asked. I do, however, enjoy a wait staff that feels more relatable and friendly to talk to. Not to say she wasn’t very kind/polite. Overall very satisfied with the service. Overall, I would give this restaurant two stars if it wasn’t for the great service that our waitress provided. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t visit this restaurant again. You can get better sushi elsewhere in the area for the same price."

"This review is for Feast Buffet at the backside of Meiji's. We did walk into Meiji's to see an atmosphere close to that of the samurai steak house, in way North OKC (the hibachi style, where they cook at your table). However, the street view of the signscan be misleading. Luckily the Meiji host directed us outside and around the corner. Feast isn't quite like Vegas style buffet, more of a quite, darker version of Golden corral. We enjoyed the gelato (raspberry was scrumptious). I enjoyed the fried greenbeans and a style of potato they serve, not sure which one. As a vegetarian, I enjoyed the bok-choy, my husband the wings. Also, they serve out of smaller pans, it's not really chintzy, it's brilliant to get hotter, fresher good, since they refill themoften. My senior mother-in-law, enjoyed the hot rolls, extremely, maybe it was that pinch of sugar on the topside?"

"If I could give a zero I would, I used to love this place but the last couple times I 've came, the bald male server would forget he sat us down and it would take forever just to get a drink started , still giving the place a chance and benefit of the doubt we went yesterday .and we sat down, he walks by us we are already sitting for 20 minutes he then asks us what we would like to drink we said a sake and Sapporo, then 30 minutes pass we flagged him down asking if he remembered he says wait and we still never got our drinks almost an hour and we were hungry. We were bummed about it , decided to get up and eat across the street. As we walked out the man watched us and didn 't say anything . What a terrible experience and we just got off work ready for dinner. Not sure if they need more workers or he just dosent care . Sad"
