"I can understand some of the previous comments about it sometimes feeling unwelcoming or like a spot for older folks. It’s true that you need to be a member or be brought in by one to enter. Once inside, you can enjoy games like bar bingo, Yahtzee, or Queen of Hearts, and drink until you run out of cash. The music selection is improving and becoming more relevant, though progress is slow with about 70% of the membership being Vietnam veterans. I have great admiration for these veterans, but it’s only natural for them to prefer the music and vibe they’re used to.
As times change, the post must adapt if it wants to thrive in the future. We need younger veterans under 40 to bring some new energy to this post and help maintain its reputation as the Best Damn Post in the West."
