"It's clear that the restaurant mainly caters to traditional Chinese cuisine, but to attract a wider customer base, they may need to adjust their flavors to better suit local tastes. If they refine the seasonings in their American menu, I would wholeheartedly make this my go-to spot for Chinese takeout. One thing to note: the American menu items do not come with rice, so you'll need to order it separately. I didn’t realize this and was quite disappointed when I got home, thinking it was included in the relatively high price."

"Mr. Bao offers excellent Chinese cuisine! The bao is light and fluffy, while the dumplings are bursting with flavor. The prices are reasonable, providing great value for your money. The only downside is that the menu could benefit from a wider selection. If they added a bit more variety, this place would be hard to beat. Definitely a solid four stars!"

"For vegetarians, this place has nothing to offer. There are a couple of vegetarian dishes, but they are not clearly labeled at least, not all of them. We ordered the mushroom buns because they were labeled vegetarian, and they were cute and tasty but they were still frozen in the center, which kind of spoiled the illusion of their being handmade. I also didn't like that the dishes were disposable paper bowls, or that the music was so loud. The servers were friendly, though."

"We stopped here after being absolutely drained from doing a full move in to dorm on a humid hot day and this ramen place just seemed to appear from the back of the Storrs plaza. Everyone was happily pleased and extremely filled with their ramen bowls, the vegetarian bowl had a hint of miso in the broth which made the tofu blend perfectly and hold moisture. The tonkotsu bowls were incredible with the pork that was tender and sweet enough while also having that signature light char. Perfect lunch or dinner spot, I know the college students keep this one busy!"

"Came here on a busy weekend night and we were sat down about 15 minutes after calling and waiting. It took another 20 minutes to get our order in because all the waiters were paying more attention to the other tables and surprisingly, were clearly much more attentive to the white diners. My partner and I being POC were sat before two other tables, and were the last to get their orders in. This is just amusing to me because this is a Chinese restaurant. Our food did take a little while to come as well, and a chef stepped out into the dining area to greet a couple at a big table(which was meant for a party of 5+ while we had lukewarm soup dumplings that were starchy? Just a bit disappointing. The main reason why we came back to this restaurant was the Peking duck dish! I remembered it being very good and it still was! However all of our food took a while and waiters would check in with every table but ours, still paying more attention to all non POC when I?m waving around and asking in my native language to place an order/ask for check. I made the decision to not tip them the full 20% that I usually do that day. There are unfortunately not many good Chinese restaurants in the area. I recommend the Peking duck if you?re willing to wait a while but if not, try another place. Very disappointing experience."
