"Very good food will draw us back. Beautiful special sushi roll, elegant on the plate. You can tell that they are understaffed, as the hostess was our server as well. However, she was very responsive, except one time when she failed to look up from her computer as I was trying to signal her. The room is drafty, a tad unpleasant in cold weather. Also, in terms of setting, there were no tablecloths. The place seemed somehow unfinished. Tables in the back were pushed together, with a corrugated box sitting there, waiting to be put away. What appeared to be servers ' or kitchen workers ' coats were draped over the chairs. The slapdash housekeeping gave the place a not-ready-for-prime-time feel. But the sushi and the hot appetizers were excellent."

"I ate here with my family before we went to a musical next door at the Pantages. I’ve been here several times and they never disappoint. We started with baked crab hand rolls, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and crispy brussels sprouts. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone. My daughters loved the hand rolls and crispy Brussels sprouts, but weren’t fans of the spicy tuna on the crispy rice. The crispy rice is highly dependent on the jalapeño to balance the flavor, so if you don’t like spicy food, it might not be for you. I highly recommend all of them. I just wish the hand rolls were a bit larger. My daughters had the miso soup and enjoyed it. Afterwards, we had the corn crunch rolls, Katsuya roll, and shrimp tempura roll. I’m not a fan of the Katsuya roll, but it’s okay. The other rolls were very good. The aioli sauce on the corn crunch is delicious. They are very good at making sure to get your food out quickly if they know you need to make a show time."

"We hadn't been here in a couple of years, but the recent visit was disappointing. They seat way more people than they have servers, which is unfair to the customers and the servers. However, even at a basic level, a server should be able to look at your table once in a while to see if you need anything. We sat for twenty-five minutes, with empty drinks and empty food plates. We were going to order more rolls before that happened, but by then, we were done with the place, asked for the check, and left. Won't go again."

"Really sad and unfortunate experience, we frequent this place a lot because we are locals but this past Sunday that I decided to take my family for a Nice dinner at Kabuki, this time around unfortunately we got as a server Kayle E. She was the most rude waitress I have ever encountered. I ordered a chicken tempura, from which it comes with a side of a salad and a soup I kindly asked Kayle for an spoon and she replied that we were supposed to drink it like that without an spoon. To my believe I didn’t know what to say to that, so I just said okay. And she left. After that since we ordered quite a few plates from the menu. She never once approached us to remove the empty plates or even do a quality check on us to see if we needed anything else. THEN TO TOP IT OFF SHE LITERALLY AS WE ARE STILL EATING SHE DROP THE CHECK NEXT TO THE PILE OF DIRTY PLATES, and walked away. We addressed that to the manager who seems to not care too much, and still has the audacity to say I hope you guys come back and have a different server "

"What a letdown! We used to really enjoy coming here, but the delivery service has become a nightmare. We’re still waiting for an order we placed over an hour ago. Looks like we'll be heading to Sushi Sake next time. It's such a shame because we really loved this place!"

"I had high hopes for this place. It is in a great area and next to Toyota Music Factory. Unfortunately I can only say it was sub par. Arrived at 5:15 since we had a concert at 7:00 looking forward to a new sushi spot. Ordered the tuna on crispy rice appetizer and the shrimp on crispy rice. Shrimp was overcooked and tough. So tough I could not cut with a fork. Tuna was a golf ball sized mashed up mush of what they called tuna. Both were atop a large hash brown type cake that tasted fine but way to heavy. Next we ordered the blue crab roll. After 20 minutes of waiting our waitress advised they were out of blue crab. She wasn’t sure at first if they were out of blue crab but after checking twice in the kitchen it was official. We then tried the hibachi fried rice which was average. After all, it was fried rice. We opted to stop there and save our appetite for sliders at Thirsty Lion. Good happy hour prices and very cold Kirin Ichiban. Therefore, If you are not looking for quality sushi and only happy hour bites this may be an option before a show."

"Lunch for two included the Deluxe Moriawase, Sunset Roll, and Soba Salad. While the Soba Salad was a bit small for the price, it was absolutely delicious. The miso soup and salad that accompanied the Moriawase were excellent as well. The sushi itself was fantastic, and the Spicy Toro Hand Roll was quite good. The only dish we didn't enjoy was the Sunset Roll; the wasabi crème fraiche and smoked roe didn’t enhance the flavor of what was essentially an overpriced, standard salmon roll with just two gimmicky toppings. Despite this, everything else was wonderful. The tables are very close together, and it was quite loud—especially because of the four business men sitting next to us who were quite boisterous. Overall, it remains one of the better sushi spots in an area that has plenty of great options. We will definitely come back again."

"I wanted to love this place but the attitude of staff was not nice. We called in advance for reservations and they said they don’t take reservations. Then as we came in the restaurant was more than half empty and they said we had to wait. We saw 2 groups come in say they had reservations. Then seated another group before us without reservations. What kind of treatment and atttitude is this? Highly uncalled for. Even if your food is good you don’t treat ppl like this. Never again."

"these absolutely delicious sushi places offer a lot of vegan maki (tasteful and complicated sushi) and nigrirolles in addition to a vegan dessert. I had the good catch spicy “Tuna” and farmbot 2.0 I personally liked the farmbot 2.0 more, especially because of the cream cheese. the thunfish roll tasted much like thunfish! the only reason why it would not have five stars of me would be the price. for the vegan and non-vegan dishes they would think they would get more food for the price they pay. the service here was absolutely phenomenal! the waiter started us by asking if we have any food restrictions, and was extremely attentive. it was the best waiting I ever received. the location itself is beautiful, with a picture outside and inside! there are beautiful sakura flowers on the inside with a wonderful atmosphere. it is also kind. the personal here also wears masks! when they come to a busy night, it is best that they get it early or have a reservation. while we were sitting, we listened and saw how the hostess told others that no reservations remained open and that they had to turn others away because of the tables."

"Overall food is pretty decent The location is right off the freeway so easy to get to during the day since it is inside a business complex. Parking can be a challenge, especially if you have any walking restrictions. The restaurant is moderately clean and atmosphere is beautiful with all of the glass surroundings however, service is very lackluster. We had to wait a few times for someone to bring us water and utensils and no one ever checked on us during the entire duration of our stay, we had to ask the hostess a few times to bring someone to the table for the check and The aforementioned water and utensils. Also for one beer and three main courses with an appetizer it came out to about 130 bucks before tax and tip. So definitely not something that's casually priced but in Marin County don't expect to be cheap."

"5 stars for service, 5 stars for food, and 5 stars for ambiance!! We had delicious appetizers, sushi, and entrees. The crispy pork belly was incredible thanks to our sweet waiter for the recommendation. Oh and I can't forget about the Thai tea and Thai donuts. They were so good we got another order."

"Service was excellent, food was delicious, though I found the menu to be slightly confusing in terms of the number of sushi rolls on the menu. One side listed by piece, and the other side did not list any. This was quickly cleared up by the very patient staff. Overall a fantastic experience, and I would definitely eat here again without a second thought. Parking: Large shared lot. Plenty even on a Friday night Meal type: Dinner"

"I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past, but was disappointed when I accidentally ordered a CHIRASHI bowl today. The quality of the fish just didn't meet my expectations. For an additional $10, I could have had a better option at Tsunami Panhandle or Ebisu. I don't want to sound rude, but considering the numerous dining choices in the city, I don't think the value is worth it. The restaurant is nicely located with a great ambiance and staff, but I probably won't dine there again."

"Extremely overpriced with poor quality. The pork was mostly fatty, and the portion size was small. I requested extra soy sauce, but I didn't receive any at all. I won’t be ordering from this place again."
