"I truly love seeing restaurants having alternative substitutions for folks that cannot have dairy and vegan options. It 's the inclusivity for me. I went during brunch for my first visit. I ordered a crêpe with braised beef, tomatoes, and cheese. The beef was very tender and overall the flavors were delicious. It was jampacked it with cheese. My side was the hash browns cooked to extra crispy. Overall my dish was delicious and I was pleased with it. My guest order the sweet crepe with berries, whip cream and almond. The sweet crepes didn 't hit the mark compare to the savory crepe that I order. Not only was it missing the whip cream but it overall needed something else. However the green beans my guest order were delicious with the notes of lemon zest and cripsy in the fresh way had me reaching for more. If you are in a hurry, beware service was on the slower side of the spectrum. The staff was nice and helpful. They have lovely outdoor seating section perfect spot to enjoy the summer and fall weather we have in Cleveland. Overall, my experiences was pleasant, and I look forward to coming back and trying out their dinner menu. "Last night, I finally tried Urban Hearth. It has been on my list of places to get to for a while, but it wasn't a place I wanted to try with my five-year-old, so I had to wait. The restaurant is tiny, 24 seats in total, with a little kitchen in the dining room. There are some additional seats outside too in good weather. Our reservation was for 7:00 and it seemed like just about everyone sat down at the same time. All the empty tables and even some seats outside filled up at once, making for a slightly frantic start to the meal. I ordered a very nice Summer Boulevardier with bourbon, strawberry infused campari, and vermouth. I also got a bottle of French Chablis. It was Bastille Day after all! The style is farm-to-table with shared plates, perfect for date night. We opted for five small plates, skipping over the larger ones. First to arrive were the Crispy Harissa Duck Wings which were falling off the bone like slow cooked ribs. They were intensely seasoned and served with addictive bread and butter pickles. I would have bought a jar to take home if offered one. Next came the scallops, which were so beautiful. They were garnished with a bacon agrodolce and bbq snow peas. Next came my favorite dish of the evening, Smoked Bluefish Pâté served with grilled focaccia. This dish is worth the visit alone. I'm not one to sit out on Mass Ave, but I think I might go back and sit outside and just have the pâté and a glass of wine for dinner one night. The last two dishes came roughly at the same time. First to arrive was an off menu special of squash blossoms stuffed with rice and goat cheese served over a fennel salad. One bite into it I was in heaven. The rich goat cheese and the fried blossom balanced with the acidic salad was perfect. A moment later the quail arrived. It was semi-boneless and halved, decadent with a bright green tomato sauce. Quail is one of my favorite meats and the preparation was outstanding. There is a lot to like about Urban Hearth. The space is charming and the service is friendly. But the real reason to go is the food. Every dish was exceptional. Although the pâté was my favorite, I adored the squash blossoms almost as much. It still isn't the place I want to bring my kid, but hopefully we will find a way to get back. Maybe he can sit outside with me while I eat pâté."

"I was excited to finally try Top Hatter for my belated birthday celebration with my girls. We ordered mainly appetizers and and desserts since we had our eyes set on the dinner menu entrees. We ordered: Tissue paper good. It reminded me of a scallion pancake but in the form of an airy paratha with a soy dipping sauce. Savory donuts meh. Was chewy and dense . The flavors for the bacon, parmesan, and scallion was a miss. Viet herb salad scrumptious. It has a fish sauce based dressing and the veggies were nice and crunchy. It was great for sharing. Mushroom and hemp seed pate must get. The presentation was like a charcuterie platter and I loved the combination of the pate, pickled veggies and the perfectly toasted bread. Grilled viet pork/beef chipolata must get. Comes in 4 pieces and you'll wish you has the whole plate to yourself. The meat was tender and packed with flavor and paired with with the shiso leaf wrap. It leaves you wanting more! Mussels in coconut green curry broth must get. I loved this! The curry was delicious and we ordered a side order to dip to soak up all the broth. If you order the pate which comes with bread, the extra side bread isn't necessary. Labneh mousse must get. It's refreshing and you'll love all the textures in this dish. I really loves the puff rice and citrus combo. Fried sesame mochi OK. Comes in 4 pieces. It's on the sweeter side due to the coconut pandan cream it's swimming in. It reminds me of a flat sesame ball with the filling. Cocktail Old Milliner. This is like an Old Fashioned. It's good but felt like it was a bit watered down even though it was served with one large ice cube. Mocktail Cucumber trapper. Must get! It's refreshing and and delicious. It's not too sweet and has a tartness that's that's addictive. Ordering via a QR code. The server who brought us our food was attentive and friendly. Google maps was not accurate in it's location so I had to turn around. The entrance is located on a one way street. Theres street parking in front and on the side street. I'm definitely a fan of Top Hatter and would love to come back to sample the dinner menu next!"

"Fantabulous farm to fork focus fare using local producers as much as possible, artful all inclusive ambiance including wheelchair accessible front and side entries) with standard height tables throughout with plenty of elbow room between them, warm welcome at the door and stellar service throughout the meal made our early dinner at Castor on a rainy Monday evening the food highlight of a multi day visit to Corvallis. MENU: changes at least seasonally so see the website menu link for the full offerings as the website is kept up to date. HOURS: Open for lunch through dinner on Tuesday through Saturday and for dinner on Monday starting at 4:00. Happy Hour here is called recess clever given Corvallis is a college town with discounts on some menu items and libation specials. LIBATIONS: Full bar with specialty cocktails and also no alcohol creations. Thoughtful wine list by glass and bottle. Also well curated pour lists for hard liquors. : Our choices for this meal were glasses of wine from a thoughtfully curated list an Oregon Pinot and a Rhone blend on 'of the day ' special at the recess price for total 21), salad of local farmer greens 8), pimento cheese board with bacon jam, fresh peaches and crostini 14), gumbo 12), ricotta gnocchi with summer veg 15), and two desserts of whiskey and cookies 10 each) for 90. We thought the prices were so reasonable for excellent food. SERVICE: The server, Margot, who greeted us warmly at the door had us feeling well tended throughout the meal. Both friendly and professional, she knew the menu to make recommendations, offered a taste of the wine I was considering to help me decide and paced the meal perfectly. Brava. TUNES: Even the playlist was perfect for the space and at a level that added to ambiance but didn 't compete with conversation. ACCESSIBILITY: On this trip I was using a wheelchair and I so appreciated that there is FAQ at the website that speaks to wheelchair access at both doors, front and side, and assures a diner that both levels are equally accessible to diners with mobility limits. Few restaurants get it this perfectly right. All people are welcome here to enjoy the food and hospitality. [hidden link] PARKING: On street in downtown Corvallis."
