"Thyme is a great resturant. The location is great in Roslyn with the water view that adds to the experience. The menu has some unique dishes that I didn't expect. Like the duck tacos which were so good o forgot to take a picture. And the Brie and apple appetizer also wonderful. The lamb chops were done perfectly and both very different chicken dishes were perfectly cooked. The falafel bowl was interesting, good and very filling. A few things that bothered me. Not a big deal but if you're a fan of Charlie trotter's and have read his books you get it. For instance we had a great table in the corner with a nice view of the lake. And even with staff opening and closing the door it was a nice view. But the door is broken and has not been lit back together well. The jam is busted the knob plate is slanted and the window could use a cleaning. If you look around the resturant there are many of these little things that stand out as simple to fix things. Some of the posts across the apps complained about the hostess she was fine. Not sure why anyone has an issue. She's not overly friendly but we were greeted and seated promptly. Now for the service. Our waiter was great. Knew the menu well. Made some great recommendations and checked in regularly."
