"DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EAT HERE. This story is decent if you enjoy weird stuff. Some context. My wife and I are travellers and we love to eat out we love food and new experiences in different places. Michigan has always been phenomenal with the food, the experience and the people. Not here. Weirdest experience I've ever had at a restaurant and I'm 39 years old. We entered this place at 7:45 pm hoping to grab a beer and a bite then hit the bed after 10 hours of driving. We ordered a salad, grilled cheese, pretzels and loaded tater tots. These are items that should take a matter of minutes on a good day, no more than 30 even if you're busy. Fast forward two hours later our waitress has twice informed us that the kitchen lost our ticket, she brought us 8 cold tater tots with some cheese drizzled on them at one point (8 tater tots? What? and then, as 9:45 pm rolled around, food had just come to the table next to us, they were open until 11 pm, but she says the kitchen simply refused to make our food and we were never going to get it. We had sat for TWO HOURS watching everyone get food, eat, leave and repeat. Meanwhile, for reasons I cannot comprehend, they were just never going to make our food. We had been nice and understanding, laughing and chatting, even telling our waitress it was fine the first time she told us they lost our ticket and she was rushing out food out. That was at 8:53 pm. We weren't rude, we weren't angry until we were informed that they just were not ever making our food the cook just refused to make a salad, a grilled cheese, some pretzels and tater tots for us. I asked to talk to the cook to maybe find out what this jerks problem was and I was told to leave. Our waitress did seem to be trying her best to be apologetic though there was a point when I got up to find her and she appeared to be yelling at the cook, who was clearly ignoring her, so maybe there was some kind of conflict happening that resulted in no food for us? I don't think we'll ever waste our time or money in Sault Ste Marie again so great work, Moloney's Alley kitchen staff. Something tells me nobody there cares no manager came over to explain it, nothing, so I assume it's just a spot who relies on tourists who don't know any better and locals who enjoy waiting. I truly don't write many reviews and I don't wish ill on anyone but I do not believe this place deserves your time or money. Full disclosure, we did get free beers and I happily tossed the finger to the cook on my way out. And we did end up at the bar down the street, ate a Jacks pizza and had a great bartender so all was not totally lost."
