"Our waitress was attentive and delightful, helping us with our questions about the menu. There was a charming loveseat in the dining area where my wife and I sat, adding to the romantic atmosphere. We began our meal with a delicious house salad, followed by my order of mole poblano and my wife's salmon catalana—both dishes were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the cilantro rice that accompanied my meal. We each tried a virgin pineapple mojito, which I can only imagine tastes quite different with rum; nonetheless, it was an amazing drink!
The restaurant is conveniently located on a bus line, making it accessible even without a car. The owners, the Citlalis, were incredibly hospitable; they treated us to a complimentary flan and appetizer since we were celebrating our anniversary. Antigua truly feels like a family restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Latin cuisine and is looking for a quiet, romantic date night spot. I plan to return again for another date night.
As for dietary options, they offer vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu, as well as gluten-free choices. There’s a parking lot behind the restaurant, with free street parking available too. I’m unsure about wheelchair accessibility at Antigua; there may be a way to access the restaurant from the parking lot, but I didn’t see a designated wheelchair entrance at the main entrance. I suggest checking with Antigua before your visit."
