"We used to really love coyote coffee. I like the idea of buying local coffee instead of visiting corporate places like Starbucks. We would get coffee from coyote in Pickens as well as in Easley. There have always been a few things that I didn’t like, for example, the fact that they only offer 2% milk or nondairy options, I always prefer whole milk. And their cups have always been very cheap quality to the point where when you pick up your cup, pops the lid off and makes you drink all over your lap. But I was willing to overlook those things for the sake of not going to Starbucks and the fact that I liked their coffee. But as of August 1, they are charging a 3% fee just to use a credit card or debit card. Which means you can only pay in cash. I know some people still carry cash these days, but the majority of people do not have cash on them at all times, and it is standard practice for businesses, usually even at small local places like farmers markets, etc., for them to accept Card payments without charging the customer for using a card. I will not be going to coyote anymore, if they’re going to charge me a 3% fee just to pay with my card which is standard practice in America."
