"I was visiting Atlanta with some friends and we’d decided to try a different sushi spot. First, the reservation we’d made wasn’t honored. We’d gotten an email saying our reservation was confirmed through OpenTable. When we arrived, the host asked if anyone had a reservation and we stepped up and said yes. There was a couple there that arrived before us but they didn’t have a reservation—however, they were still given the table that was open. The excuse given was “I didn’t confirm your reservation so I’m going to seat them first.” I thought that the point of a reservation, one in which we had a email stating it was confirmed, was that we would be seated first. That couple wasn’t even on the walk-in table list yet. That should’ve been our first clue about our experience as it was downhill from there. Secondly, the menu is not organized well. For a sushi place to not have the uncooked am cooked rolls separated is weird. The waiter didn’t know which was which either. The service was nonexistent—we had to get some of our own soy sauce trays, etc during our visit. The ramen menu was also confusing because no one could tell us if the soup bases had spice or not for the vegan/vegetarian side, so one of the ladies in the group had a pretty bland bowl of ramen. The teriyaki veggie bowl was super dry and the sauce it did have was thick like a gravy I will say that the sushi is amazing, which was the saving grace to our visit and the only reason I rated the food as 3-star. If you’re visiting here, only come for the sushi. Everything else is pretty blah. Not a great first impression."
