"The Eastside used to be my favorite. When I ate their food, it was a rewarding experience to me, and I've recommended this place to many of my friends.Things start to change a couple of years ago. Chicken starts to be too oily, although it's still delicious, the flavor's still right, as long as you do not eat there everyday, it's still the place to goBut the chicken I ordered recently is totally disappointing. The coating is brownish, and hard to chew. It used to be perfect golden. The meat is a little bit dry. I think anyone who cook often enough can do a better job."

"The service and ambiance here was excellent. The menu was very well rounded. We got filet mignon and Royal Red Shrimp to share with salads, sauteed garlic mushrooms and baked potato. There were baskets of a variety of breads and two kinds of butter. Truffles were provided at the end of the meal. It was a beautiful dining experience!"

"UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT Me and my family ate here on 9/9/2022 we ordered the Catfish dinner and a 2 item Combo with fried chicken and shrimp. Both meals came with fries. The Catfish was delicious and seasoned well. The fried chicken and shrimp was crispy and seasoned, the fries were cooked well a little greasy but delicious. I would go back again and refer my friends. New management and new taste. NO I was not paid for the review or offered anymore chicken. Although I am open to the free chicken???"

"The mushroom and Swiss burger was pretty good. I don't care for the brand of mayo they use. But that's just me. The burgers themselves could use some seasoning. The egg rolls are okay. They tasted like a frozen brand that I've tried, but even so I might order again. Unfortunately, the packets of sweet and sour sauce are awful. Idk. Where they get those but they should try a different company. The staff (especially the lady in FOH) that was there at this time were so nice and friendly. She treated us as if we were special guests and were the first customers instead of the last.It was almost closing. (We were actually there until after)."

"Definitely my worst fish and chicken experience; it smells so bad, and I left out without getting my order. There were people hanging out in the back without any type of food gear on and not to mention the absence of the menu so the owner or the clerk, I’m not exactly sure who he was just ask me questions about what I wanted to eat and it was overpriced. I paid less at my regular spot always and I get more. I just regret it the entire decision to walk in. I felt bad that he made my food and I didn’t take it but it just smells so bad I didn’t want any fish from there. They completely spoil my appetite. I decided to go and get peanuts and fruit instead and wait a little later for dinner."

"Amazing restaurant. I've had the tilapia and catfish and have not been disappointed. Seasoned well and is extremely tasty. Fries are also really good. To be honest, the first time I had this place, all I could do is compliment the food in between my bites. Desserts are good as well. The owner is an absolute gem and is eager to provide a great experience for his customers. Very reasonably priced. Dietary restrictions: The chicken is halal!"

"From another state visiting Chicago decided to see what all the hype was about. Pure trash!!!!!! Order was incorrect tried calling the resturant and was told that was on grubhub. So I guess the grubhub driver cooked bagged and delivered the order tried to call back and they didn't answer from my number so I called from the hotel number and was told the restaurant was closed closed at 8:40 when on Saturday they close at 10:45. The games people play. People loss they life for less. Customer service at a all time low. May your business dry up if changes are not made immediately!!!!!!!"

"IDK, why all bad reviews. My party of 5 all ordered different things and there were no problems with food quality or portion sizes. My Wake up Burger was embroidered with 1⁄3 lb, cheese and a fried egg. Cam with a good size order from Fritten and costs $3.99. I don't care if they charge a $2 cover in the evening. The drink is more than for him. $6 domestic $8 import pitcher! And Amber Bock pitches $5 every day! And the cover helps to keep the reef traffic. The service was excellent. Our waiter checked several times if we need anything."
