My fiancé and I loved waking up early, going to the Midtown dog park and eating some vegan Willis witch. The best start to the day.

The restaurant offers a selection of beer, wine, espresso, as well as premade salads and parfaits. They also provide milk substitutes and vegetarian pastries.

I had only Mexican hot chocolate with mandel milk, but it was very delicious, lightly spicy. place is beautiful and beautiful to spend some time sitting and watching people. I saw several vegan cookies offered. Ver carta

This restaurant is fantastic, offering a wide range of vegan options. The baked goods are fresh and delicious. There are several lunch choices available in the cooler. Located in a lovely area opposite Detroit, near the promenade, it’s a popular spot to visit in the city.

This is a bakery cafe which service a wide range of pre made sandwiches, cookies, brownies and muffins some of which are vegan. Everything is clearly labelled. All drinks can be made with soya milk in place of dairy milk. Everything I tried was good but not spectacular . I paid 3.50 for a sandwich, which I thought was reasonable value for money. It can get very busy at weekends.

I enjoy Avalon a lot. Their bread is healthy and made from few ingredients they don't sneak preservatives and unnecessary ingredients in. They always have a wide variety of vegan desserts and sometimes vegan foccacia. On top of it, they treat their employees well and pay them a living wage. Avalon is a Detroit institution and a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch or snack. Most ingredients are organic. There are many many vegan cakes, cookies, muffins, soup and foccacia. Everything else is pretty much vegetarian. Most of the bread is vegan only the brioche and challah is made with eggs. Excellent baguettes. Full coffee bar. There are often lines and a wait, especially on Saturday, Sunday and lunches. Pricier than a standard bakery, but you are paying for quality ingredients.

What a gem of a place! The atmosphere here is fantastic, with outdoor seating and a few cozy tables inside. As a true bakery, they specialize in cookies, muffins, brownies, and various loaves of bread. While they do offer a selection of sandwiches, there's often a pizza or flatbread option available as well. The smoothies are exceptional, and their espresso drinks are equally impressive. A standout feature is their vegan cookies, which are even tastier than the non-vegan options. You'll find the bakery on a quiet side street. as others have noted, it's mostly a bakery. When I visited this week they had half a dozen or so vegan pastries, all on the sweet side. I had the apple pie pastry, the granola bar which was so sweet it was mostly like dessert , a chocolate chip cookie, and a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately it was breakfast, and I would have liked to see more savory vegan options. In fairness, I don't like sweets much. So I got the stuff to go, and ate it on the train later on.
