"We recently visited the Wine Country Inn this last weekend with another couple to visit local wineries and wine taste. The rooms are dated, but adequate. The breakfast is typical hotel fare, nothing special. The staff overall was nice with a couple of exceptions which I will talk about now.Our first night there, my girlfriend and I decided to go to the hotel lobby to watch a TV show on my tablet. We both had sleeping husbands in our rooms so we could not go there. We sat on the couch across from the fireplace. There was a wedding that night in the ballroom which is right off of the lobby. It was so loud we could not even hear the sound from the laptop, we had to turn on the subtitles. We endured it because we figured it was a Thursday night and thought at some point hotel staff would monitor the noise level. People were running in and out of the ballroom, screaming and running back into the wedding party. No one from Hotel Staff stopped them or told them they needed to go back into the wedding because it was too loud. Our last night in wine country, we were two couples who were again in the hotel lobby, trying to play a card game. There was another wedding. Every time staff went into the ballroom they opened the door and the wedding was so loud we could not even play our cards. When I asked the front desk person if they could keep the door shut, so the wedding noise would not affect us, she said no they could do whatever they wanted. We eventually found a room off of the lobby to play our cards where it was fairly quiet. I understand that weddings make money for the hotel, but at $250/night, I think they also have to balance the needs of the hotel guests. We only wanted to keep the ballroom door closed, nothing more. We thought it was a good compromise.Because of this, we will not stay at the Wine Country Inn again. And we will not recommend it to our friends and are not recommending it here.A relaxing trip to wine country it is NOT!The lack of attention to our needs as hotel guests vs. the needs of the wedding guests was not acceptable in my opinion."

I ordered my meat cooked medium and received rare. It was impossible to cut even with a sharp knife they provided . The squash was cut in slices one of which was hard and the other was burnt. The potatoes had no flavor and were very lumpy. Overall, I did not eat my meal and no one bothered to ask why.

We went there for a new years dinner. The food was good, personally some of the cooking style wasn't my favorite. My steak was cooked just right, however it needed to be trimmed as I trimmed a bunch of gristle off of it. The mashed potatoes had some pretty big chunks of potatoes that needed to be cooked more. My wifes summer squash also was a tad under cooked so it was still a little hard. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I’ve stayed here once a month, every month this year for work trips and I cannot recommend this place enough!! The rooms are always clean, the grounds beautifully maintained, the entire staff friendly and helpful, and the food consistently delicious. Caroline’s and the Tapestry Room are pretty much the only places I go to eat when I’m in town. Clear views of Mt. Garfield, peach orchards and vineyards. If you’re gonna stay in Palisade, this is the place

Exceeds expectations, prompt communication, fantastic decor, yummy food, excellent customer service. Wine Country Inn hosted our wedding hotel block and our post wedding brunch. Mrs. Collins was prompt in her communication. Hotel staff placed our welcome bags in each guest room. Vicky went above and beyond setting up decor and providing service for our brunch. Our guests felt cared for while staying at the Wine Country Inn. The Inn is a beautiful and accommodating place to stay or host your next event. Ver carta

Our server, Lupita, was superb. Very friendly and personable. She recommended some wines and food items. She kept a watchful eye to make sure the pacing of the food was perfect. The wingspan red blend was very good. The tempura shrimp appetizer was delicious. The main entrees were served promptly after we had finished our salads. The Elk loin was delicious as was the pozole. The salmon was a very large portion and the vegetables were delicious. The desserts were very yummy. The peach cobbler was the right size and the caramel apple pie was scrumptious. Overall good value for food and service Would come back again

I have been to this hotel many times. It is a lovely place in a beautiful location and easy to find. There aren't many places to eat in Palisade, the local town, but there are plenty of wineries to visit, and the Colorado National Monument is nearby. There is also a beautiful park along the nearby river. The hotel offers its guests a free glass of wine from a local winery every evening. The wine quality is only medium, but I have really enjoyed the food at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The free breakfasts are superior in quality, and the staff is friendly and supportive. They even went to the extra effort of mailing me some items I left in the room. They also have a swimming pool and...

"So, I’m from Buffalo NY. Pizza, wings, and service are things I ALWAYS look for when i live somewhere new. Today was my first time trying Diorios pizza. I always keep it simple on my first time and just do cheese and pepperoni pizza, with ranch. First of all when I called the gentleman who answered the phone was super nice and even listening to me babble a little bit about how I’m super picky about pizza and how my favorite place is that one in Fruita that I won’t name here but it’s delicious I mean come on. I told him that same thing and he kind of chuckled and I said I don’t judge one restaurant based on another but if this is New York style pizza I’ll be the judge of it LOL. I don’t have a degree in culinary arts or anything like that but I do have an honorary degree in eating pizza for the last 30+ years of my life. First off I’d like to mention the service which was impeccable they even gave me a discount for being local which was totally unexpected and absolutely one of the coolest things I’ve had happened to me in a while. Second of all they had some cool glass bottle Sodas I had never seen before. I am always down to try something new. The one he suggested was black cherry and I would highly recommend it to anyone else. Now to the pizza. I’ll give it a solid eight out of 10. It’s purely based on personal preference when it comes to crust but everything else was phenomenal. They don’t use too much, sauce the sauce is not sweet at all Which is a huge pet peeve of mine. They were not anything but generous with the cheese which is always nice to see you because I know it’s expensive. The pepperoni had a good flavor and it was nice and greasy just like I like it. Sometimes pepperoni has kind of an odd flavor to it like they tried to hard when they were making out with this place whatever brand it is is delicious. Taking the two points off really has to do with the texture of the crust. For me it’s just too airy (that might be the wrong way to explain it) it wasn’t over cooked or super doughy at all, but it sort of reminds me of dominos crust. But a lot better. The ranch was good as well, idk if they make it in house but it was a lot better than other places around town for sure."
