Great food, service and atmosphere. Well worth the drive here from Portland today.

The friendliest dive bar in town. $1.50 beers two nights a week. Good fried chicken. Free pool. And the bartenders will learn your name. What more are you seeking here people?

Stopped in during first elk season waiting for my buddies to show up. Roomier than I thought to would be, people were super chill and I guess they had some good food because there were lots of people ordering grub. Lots of neon and good music definitely a country bar feel Ver carta

Fantastic service, attractive bartenders, delicious food, and strong drinks! There's a lovely outdoor area with a wood stove that provides warmth on chilly evenings. Their ***** Mary mix is made from scratch and fresh daily. It's one of the best Bloody Marys I've ever tasted!

I remember when I first moved to town and visited this bar. The ambiance was extremely friendly and inviting. Since then, it has become my go-to spot to spend time with amazing people. The food is delicious, the bartenders are exceptional, and the owners are fantastic! I highly recommend it!

this is clearly a local favorite. if you are not from there, it can be startling. a true dive bar watering hole. no one cares what you do, or what you look like, just drink and be happy. bartender was attentive. we were there during a big celebration and they were really busy. good drinks, much lower prices than Portland. Cool local dive bar. As obvious out of towners, we were treated well by the bar staff, and while the place was pretty empty at the early hour we were there, the few people there were friendly. Drinks were strong, prices were inexpensive, staff was attentive. There is a definite sense that this is a bar where memories are made and/or erased! Oh, to correct an earlier reviewer, they accept credit cards.

Great local place. Dive? kinda. Locals only? not at all. Maybe the other reviewers needed to lighten up a bit. This place is great! You are in a town of 2000 people at a local hangout and expect what? Ruth's Chris service at a place that has $3-4 happy hour beers? come on! The food and drinks are reasonably priced, the staff is way more friendly than any Portland bar right now and the locals are solid hardworking people. I am a big fan and I will be back whenever I get the chance!

I now know where the guys from Ax Men drink their beer. One of the regulars from the show (Dwayne Dethlefs was here while we were getting our pizza. Now imagine what that place would look like... This is a locals bar. Nothing wrong with that, and the stars are not reflective of that at all. I have gone to other establishments that are local watering holes in small towns, and I have had a pleasant experience. This was not one of those. So a buddy of mine and I are on a long ride when we stop in Vernonia. We are a bit tired from the ride, and we decided that we could use a bite and a beer. So, we enter into the bar.
