Dixie's Diner - Carta

Fun places with lots of options. The shake was yummy, but I am not sure if my chicken was cooked enough. I'm hoping it was a rare occurrence.

Food and service are always great, and the atmosphere is family friendly and time period accurate, very cozy and fun diner. I love coming here with my family.

We were greeted when we walked in, immediately directed to a table. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in selecting from the menu. Everyone was very happy with their food selection. Food was great overall. Hamburger was great. Fries were a little too crispy but no big deal. Service from the waitress was pretty good too I must admit. But her attitude was lousy. She was rude and seemed annoyed by our questions. My family has gone here many times in the past, but we probably won't after this. It was a sour experience.

We really enjoy eating at Dixie's Diner and have been there many times. The wait staff are attentive, especially compared to other restaurants in Idaho Falls. They have a wide variety of food choices and always plenty of food! I had their French dip with fries which I enjoyed. My husband chose the Salisbury Steak and enjoyed that as well.

Staff was wonderful. They were very attentive and always smiling. The atmosphere was electric. Very fun classic diner feel. They had jukeboxes at most of the booths. All of the food was delicious. The Idaho Nachos were great. The fries were crispy and golden brown, and seasoned to perfection. I got the Reuben Sandwich and it was great. If you going through Idaho Falls, give this place a try. I love 50s style diners and when we were searching for a place to eat during a recent trip, I saw this on the map and had to check it out. So glad I did! Loved the decor, our waitress was wonderful, all of the staff that we interacted with except the hostess was pleasant and smiling. The hostess wasn't very pleasant and seemed put out to have to seat us, but everyone else made up for it. The fries were incredible! My kids loved the paper cars that came with their menus. I loved the Jukebox and memorabilia. The shakes were great, the strawberry was the best out of the ones we ordered.

I would greatly appreciate it if the owner would be willing to call me or email me. I am asking this based off of our experience tonight. Usually the service is wonderful and welcoming. We came in on Friday around 4:30 and was completely blown off. When some one did approach us I asked if they were short staffed and was told no! I then showed my military id and the manager informed me that there is no military discount and only on Veterans Day! I simply asked why have I gotten it every other time and now things changed! Ok I normally don 't even take the time to write a review but this was awful, my husband and I decided to come here because we normally like this place but after tonight we will NOT be coming back unless they fix what ever is wrong in the kitchen. We ordered a green tea assuming it was iced with grilled cod with rosemary potatoes, colslaw and a side of fresh fruit. My husband ordered a mushroom burger well done with fries, onion rings, and orange juice. When our food arrived the onion rings were presented with a long humane hair laying across them.
