"We had the best dining experience at Roy’s on our honeymoon! We sat outside and enjoyed sunset over the ocean! Our servers were attentive and thoughtful. My husband ordered the prix fixe menu and I ordered meatloaf. We had blackened ahi and baby back ribs as appetizers. The ribs were tasty, but we surprised ourselves by favoring the ahi. My meatloaf was perfectly cooked. My husband’s short rib was good, but the macadamia nut Hawaiian fish was our favorite dish of the night! It was tender and flavorful. We upgraded dessert to the chocolate soufflé. The warm dark chocolate was fantastic with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. We didn’t think we liked seafood but Roy’s convinced us otherwise! We’d love to come back the next time we visit Oahu."

"We ordered the tacos (3 to an order for approx. $18.00). The tortillas were not doubled and where difficult to eat because the filling saturated the taco and the tortillas kept falling apart. So I asked for extra tortillas so I could double them myself. They brought dried out, hard tortillas. I asked for fresh ones so they brought 3 small tortillas on a small saucer. They charged $9.00 for these plus $6.00 for the 2 dried out ones brought earlier. That's $15.00 for 5 small corn tortillas with nothing on them. It's just small tortillas straight out of the bag. I thought this had to be wrong so I asked the waiter and he brought the manager. The manager said it's because everything is going up in price. And people will order the tacos and ask for more taco shells so they can put some of the filling into the empty taco shells thereby essentially getting more tacos. So what? If I want less filling in my tacos and just want extra tortillas, why should I be penalized? I can see charging for a side order of tortillas but NOT $9.00 for 3 plain tortillas. No other restaurant I know of charges that! And come on! You can buy an entire bag of corn tortillas at any grocery store for about $4.00 and you'll get about a dozen or more! We would have been better off buying another order of the tacos. $15.00 for 5 plain tortillas versus $17.00 for 3 complete tacos! So disappointed in this restaurant. Definitely does not leave you with a good feeling."

"Fun restaurant with great ambience. It's relaxed feel allows one to decompress from the day and just sit back. The wait staff is top notch, very attentive but not intrusive, we will return again and again."

"The eggs were overcooked, and there wasn’t enough Hollandaise sauce. I wondered if the timing of my visit had anything to do with it—perhaps the kitchen staff was eager to close up shop for the night. This lack of attention to detail really showed. The servers did offer to bring me more eggs, but I declined. The flavor was acceptable, but due to the sparse Hollandaise and the hard egg yolk, the Benedict ended up being quite dry. I was hungry, so I finished it, paid my bill, and left feeling somewhat unsatisfied. I noticed a small treat on my way out, which I suspect might have been a peace offering, but I didn't see anyone receiving any parting gifts."

"Disappointed HK resident who frequented this coffee spot.I feel it's gone from GREAT to Good to junk.The coffee is subpar the extra wait time for overpriced basic food is not worth it.I used to go 4x/week but having to wait an extra 20 min sometimes for part of my to-go order to come out- only to have to flag someone down during busy hours isn't reasonable to jumpstart the day. On multiple occasions I've waited patiently around to pick up my order, only to find out they hadn't started even making the food (with only 3 customers sitting around). Sure, the view is pretty the service has always been friendly but it's simply not worth it anymore. If anything improves, I'll update my review."
