Jalapeno Grille - Carta

Real scrumptious food. Thoroughly enjoy all the food I've ordered here. Definitely recommend it to people who want some good Mexican food that isn't that expensive but still very much full of flavor.

Great hole in the wall. This is a must. Food is authentic and, more importantly, delicious. Fresh made salsa has a nice kick with home made chips that come out hot. Shrimp tacos delicious. Make sure you try it.

Simple. Subtle but full of flavor. Unique all day breakfast menu. Tried the steak plate. Worth every bit of it. Lovely artifacts. Just off Sammy's. If you did eat too much, lovely places to walk around- be it the sculpture park or fox river. Ver carta

Food was fresh, warm, and so delicious. I ordered the 2 corn tortilla tacos special with rice and beans. I also ordered the chips and salsa, and my horchata was amazing! I hadn’t eaten here in 5+ years and was craving it. Visited again today and it did not disappoint!!

This restaurant is cool, but it's disappointing when they advertise Taco Tuesday for $1.50 per taco and the tacos are only half the size. The flavor was good, but they skimped on the meat as well. It seems like more of a deal for the restaurant than for the customer. In fact, I would argue that it's not a good deal for the customer.

Small restaurant with really cool decorations. Friendly bilingual staff that were very helpful. The food was tasty, but the complementary salsa was not spicy at all. It's not much of a big deal to me, but it didnt go unnoticed. There's plenty of space inside to dine in. The food service was pretty fast. From what I noticed customers ordering take-out were in and out pretty quickly. Ver carta

Came here on lunch to grab a quick bite to eat. Have to say the inside was not what I had expected. It was very eclectic inside with many things to keep you entertained while you wait for your food. We ended up ordering a few breakfast tacos, 3 ground beef tacos, and a couple of their specialties. Was a little disappointed on the amount of meat they put in the tacos, but overall the taste was awesome. Next time I come here I’ll be trying out a burrito they looked pretty popular.

Another of my to go to authentic Mexican restaurants. Chips are freshly made, salsa is one of the best around. If you like chili relleno make sure to try their chili relleno burrito. I accidentally ordered this one time instead of a chili relleno plate and I'll take the burrito over the plate any day. They're enchiladas and tacos are also great. My only complaint would be that they have messed up on my order quite a few times when ordering pickup, withthat being said, just check your order before you leave, this doesn't stop me from going here.

I finally got a chance to eat at the Jalapeno Grille, and first walking in the decor was pretty cool. Then I looked on the menu board. $4 for a taco. $9 for a basic burrito with a $3 upcharge for lengua. We thought to get a special, but we couldn't upgrade to horchata. When the food arrived, the burrito was nothing special. Beans were a little salty. The carne asada taco and taco al pastor were actually pretty fabulous. Regular size tortillas, not street-taco size. Lots of filling in them. I guess for a St. Charles location, the prices aren't outrageous, but for an out-of-towner the bill was pretty steep. Parking is a joke. Other than that it was pretty good.
