"Excellent food and service! I visited with my husband for the first time on Saturday evening, he loves Indian food and we were so happy we discovered it! It's located in a strip mall in Hicksville. The place was casual, quaint and the lady I believe is the owner, is very friendly and sweet, as well attentive. The food was delicious! We started with the veggie appetizer platter which is an assortment of fritters, samosa, aloo tikki and paneer pakora, vegetable pakora. We also ordered the Rice Polao which is Basmati rice cooked with peas and mild spices and Garlic Naan Bread layered with garlic, sooo delicious. For the main course I ordered the Shrimp Masala which was perfect and not too spicy as I requested and my Hubby had Navratan Korma which is a lovely dish of Mixed vegetables cooked with mild curry cashew nut sauce. All were terrific. The best part was the delicious rice pudding dessert. We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!"

eating was great except the hair in the rice pudding. I know it can even happen at the best place, but it's still something they don't want to see.

This is definitely one of my go-to restaurants. Their chicken tikka masala is delicious, and I LOVE their mango lassi. Do yourself a favor and get the picked pickles--fermented lime, peppers, etc. they are the perfect accompaniment to any of their meals.
