Kitty's Kitchen - Carta

This is a wonderfully accommodating local family-run restaurant. I ordered the salt and pepper beef with a side of Mongolian beef sauce and the fried baby potstickers. My husband chose the General Tso’s chicken, along with fried rice and chow mein.

Kitty's Kitchen is a wonderful family-owned Chinese restaurant. While there are countless small businesses like this throughout California and the United States, Kitty's Kitchen has managed to thrive even through the challenges posed by the pandemic. I am grateful that they are still in operation. I've already ordered takeout from them twice during this visit, and I will undoubtedly return for more before I leave. I highly recommend giving them a try!

Was not expecting such a quality food experience! Kitty 's Kitchen is an unassuming little place with some of the BEST Chinese food I 've ever had. There were three of us and each had a small meal that came with either rice or chow mein. We are not big eaters, but I didn 't expect to get 3 meals each! Our leftovers were still amazing two days later, when we finally finished them. From now on, I will make a point to eat at Kitty 's whenever visiting family in Manteca. Ver carta

The food arrived in a timely manner and was served hot. It was delicious and bursting with flavor! When I say "bursting with flavor," I don’t mean it was overly salty; rather, I found it to be more flavorful than our usual spot, Dynasty in Modesto. For those who prefer less seasoning, it might feel like a lot, but I personally loved the orange chicken, chow mein, and chicken with broccoli! The chicken teriyaki with plain chow mein was a kids' plate, and believe me, the portion was generous—we couldn’t finish it all. If you’re in the area, you definitely need to check this place out!

I was Rolling around Manteca and I saw Kitty's Kitchen !!!! Kitty's Kitchen is Located in a Strip Mall . They are a Family Owned Restaurant that has been in business over 13 years!!! So I rolled to Kitty's Kitchen !!! I parked in the Strip Mall parking lot!!! Then I strolled in to Kitty's and Grabbed a Table and a Menu!!! I perused the Menu and Ordered a Large Wonton Soup and a Combination Plate Consisting of. Chow Mein , Fried Rice , Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork!!! My Combination Plate came out first!!! The service was adequate (since it was takeout), but it's definitely not what it used to be. We’re from Arizona, and whenever we visit family in town, we always make it a point to order from Kitty's. We absolutely love the salt and pepper pork with its crispy coating that melts in your mouth, as well as the boneless fried chicken, and I always opt for the shrimp fried rice. However, it’s clear that something has changed. The salt and pepper pork was completely lacking flavor; it was bland, greasy, and the coating was hard and crusty. While the decor is a bit worn and hasn't been updated in a while, this charm is typical of a long-established local business. It's not the ideal place for a fancy date, but if you're looking for traditional, authentic cuisine, this is a great option. Angela, Kitty’s cousin, mentioned that she is aware some customers have been unhappy, and she's been making an effort to keep the recipes as close as possible to what they used to be. Honestly, I don’t mind if there are changes from what Kitty's used to serve because it was tasty! Maybe Kitty used to handle custom orders for those dissatisfied customers. Angela mentioned that a couple came in asking if Kitty was still there, and when she said no, they left without giving her a chance. Changed ownership...... here's some recent feedback I don't know what happened, the ownership of Kitty's kitchen just changed. Before when it first opened, it was run by Taishan people who spoke Cantonese. They made authentic food and were super friendly and kind. My favorite dish used to be the fried chicken wings and their sweet sour Thai noodles.... Upon ordering today, we realized the ownership changed after we realized they didn't speak Cantonese and didn't know which dishes we were talking about. We still ordered in hopes the recipes and food would be the same but much to our disappointment, the food is completely different : Sometimes change is good, but in this case.. I'd argue again...
