I've tried many sushi places, but this one truly stands out as the freshest in the OC area. You absolutely have to try the sashimi! Plus, the uni doesn't have any unpleasant smell, which is a great sign.

this restaurant is amazing! my expectations were blown away from the quality, fresh and overall taste of the dishes. the chefs are super nice and friendly and came with amazing dresses with 11/10 presentation for everyone. this is one of the best sushi restaurants I ever had and will return 100%!

A very busy place at most of the time. Be patient and only come here when you're not in rush. The place is clean and staffs were friendly. All the dishes were well presented and absolutely delicious with very high quality ingredients. Of course it's expensive but like people always said: You got for what you paid for. Will definitely come back for more

The prices are high, but the quality justifies it. It's definitely worth a try. I've been there with family and friends twice, and we've all enjoyed our meals immensely. There were three of us, and our total bill came to $320. We all agreed that it was worth every penny. If you're a lover of sushi and sashimi, you can truly appreciate the quality here compared to many other places in Irvine. If you're not, you might feel like you're missing out.

I had another amazing experience at Kiyo for my birthday dinner this year, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants in the area! This was my third visit, but it was the first time since the pandemic. The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is lovely (although the bar tables are still closed). As always, the food is impressive! The sweet shrimp were still moving when they were served, which was quite a treat. Our must-try Uni-don was heavenly, as usual. Fresh sushi with thoughtful touches in Irvine. A friend recommended this place, so came here for lunch after a walk in the nearby Hicks Canyon Trail (it is an 8-minute walk from the park). There are many parking spaces as there is in a place. You can retrieve an order there. They are currently closed for Dine in due to Kovid, and there were a few outdoor chairs where people ate/sat. It took about 20 minutes to get the food out. Worst experience ever!!!! I will never go here again. I placed my order online and paid. I was given a time of 20 minutes to pick it up. This place is 4 minutes from my house. First off- the staff was incredibly rude. When I asked about a pick ups- she continued to look at her phone and told me to “hold on, she’ll be with me in a minute”. From there it got worse.
