We've been here twice and the second time was as good as the first! The food is so good! We had the same server both times and they were great! If you like Asian style food, you will love this place. The noodles are so good! We loved everything we got!Food: 5/5

This restaurant offers a fantastic mix of East Asian cuisines. The portions are generous, the quality is high, and the food is simply outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious! The Laksa was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the spring rolls and a glass noodle dish with chicken and shrimp (I can’t recall the name). Both were tasty! We were seated promptly since it was a weekday lunchtime. The staff was very efficient. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5!

I dined in here with a group of 5 including a baby. The service was phenomenal! Our server Aubrey was very attentive and got all our order correctly! The food tasted really good. I got red curry w fish it’s breaded and fried to its perfection!! Their Chinese broccoli dish is really good too. We also got our desserts!! Everything was amazing. We decided to take out after we arrived to this location. It just didn’t seem that inviting a place to stay and dine. They had some decorations as you can see in some of the pictures. The service was good. We ordered the Ayam Bakar gluten free. When we got it home, we figured out that gluten free meant we didn’t get any dark sweet soy sauce mentioned in the description. Without the sauce, some of the chicken tasted a little dry. The single order portion was generous enough to feed the two of us. The menu has a lot to offer. So take my one item order for what it’s worth- just one item. We wish the communication would have been better. Ver carta

After such a pretty long wait, we're so excited to finally eat Indonesian food at Makanmakan! The food was pretty good; the satay was great with peanut sauce, my American friend liked it a lot, the rendang was fine, but it was a bit salty and their sambal terasi was superb, but the drink (es campur) didn't taste as authentic as I thought it'd be. Not to mention, the staff were very friendly and communicative!! My husband ordered through Grub Hub to use credit on his account. We were at the restaurant, because we don’t like our food delivered. Anyway, I need to eat gluten free and a menu posted on Google reviews had gluten free options. We ordered the Ayam Bakar, which is chicken cooked with a dark sweet soy sauce. We were told at first that it couldn’t be made gluten free, then was told it could. It was tender and well-cooked, but flavor was missing. No soy sauce flavor. Probably because their soy sauce had gluten. I wish I had been told this, I would have ordered something else! Good portion size, I shared with my husband. Beware menus that mention gluten free options.

Makanmakan seems to follow this pattern. While the food was edible, it was ultimately forgettable. I ordered a clear noodle dish with jumbo prawns (which were sparse) and smoked pork, but it arrived as a mushy mix rather than a distinct combination of noodles, vegetables, and meat. The steamed rice, which is always a good indicator of a restaurant's quality, was disappointing and mushy—reminiscent of Denny's rather than authentic, high-quality sticky rice that they should be serving. It seems that they are cutting corners, likely to save money, as sticky rice would require a greater investment. While the food was satisfactory, it didn’t leave a lasting impression.
