"If this is what school was really like, take me back! There was 2 things I knew I had to get the Uni Flan and the Squid Ink Pasta. I came here with my sister and we were super excited to try those two items since we love uni and we love squid ink. We started with the uni flan and liked it, but wasn't what we expected. Aside from the fresh pieces of delicious uni on top, we thought that the flan part would taste more like uni. Nevertheless, it was still good especially on top of the crunchy bread crackers and also with the saltiness of the fish roe. It was a great starter. Then we got the squid ink pasta. I thought it could have tasted a little more like squid ink, but the broth was amazing! They were generous with the portion of the seafood as well and you can bet that we both slurped up the last drop of our soup. Overall, it was a great meal, nice place (with a cool patio if it was warmer) and friendly staff."

The small plates here are absolutely delicious. You definitely have to try the uni flan and monkfish liver—they're exceptional! The mussels are tasty as well, but the portion size is a bit too big for just two people. Parking is convenient, and the service is fantastic!

The service and food were excellent. Just a heads up—during happy hour, some items are offered at half the quantity for half the price, which we weren't informed about, leading to some awkward moments while sharing our bites. We also had dinner here afterwards, and both the spaghetti and risotto were on point.

A reliable foodie friend recently introduced me to this hidden gem in Potrero Hill, and I can't wait to return frequently. The ambiance is modern and cozy, and the food—fresh seafood with a touch of Japanese fusion—is absolutely fantastic. I appreciate how accessible and down-to-earth this restaurant is, yet both the food and service are of the highest quality. Another plus is that Skool frequently runs promotions on Twitter and Facebook, so there's almost always a chance to snag a free drink or discount if you keep an eye out.

This restaurant is an excellent choice for brunch or dinner. They have a lovely heated outdoor patio that is dog-friendly. I highly recommend trying their **** Mary. My favorite dish, which I order every single time, is the Squid Ink Spaghettina—the broth is absolutely delicious! We also enjoy the bread with the tasty seaweed butter, and they always have a delicious poke dish on the menu. An added bonus is the ample street parking available nearby (just be sure not to leave anything valuable visible in your car!). I definitely recommend giving this place a try! Ver carta

Came to Skool cuz we heard good things, came for brunch and it was, well, soothing to chill in the City. You walk in through the patio and right away you feel a calming effect. We were seated quickly, the waitstaff was attentive. Ordered the Skool omelet with bacon, and the karaage and waffles. They came piping hot, the omelet was flavorful, with pickled jalapeños that were just the right spice and tartness. I like chicken and waffles, I LOVE karaage and waffles! Tender, marinated with Asian flavors and the waffles were crunchy yet pillow-soft. Don't miss the Katsuo fries, couldn't stop eating those skinny fries! Looking forward to the next time!

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
