"Sprout was a real disappointment. In Lancaster, where there’s a significant Vietnamese population, this might be the weakest Vietnamese restaurant. My pho broth was meaty, flabby and lukewarm, with no discernible flavors. The rare ribeye was thick, and the basil and sprouts were sparse and old. My wife’s vermicelli bowl was just iceberg and noodles, with no proper fish sauce. The spring rolls were old and springy, and the peanut sauce was goopy. You bus your own table, which would normally be fine, but we spent about $35 for substandard fair, so this additional bit of work felt like a parting slap. Only bright spot was the restroom, which was pretty clean. There are many better choices in Lancaster. For instance, Pho Pasteur never fails to measure up for taste, quality and value."
