The managers answer today was: Ok for me to go to another place or speak with the owner… Potatoes old if you don’t remind the to be fresh,,, They give rice if you ask for potatoes. "just adding to address the response. I do take back that you didn't offer an apology, you did. Sorry. However, our conversation and your response still do not address my chief complaint , which was not that your portion sizes were too large but that the person that picked up the phone should have suggested we had too much food and maybe we should cut back on one or tow portion sizes, especially since I made it clear how unsure I was and was looking for her guidance. That is the crux of my issue. i have been a regular patron for decades, by dining in or in some or in this case ordered in. i asked the receptionist for some guidance for 6 people, telling her we wanted 6-7 dishes. We were 6 people with average appetites and half the food is leftover. i understand that 1.5 orders feeds 4-6 people but what the receptionist should have told me once she knew we were ordering that many dishes we should have ordered less dishes ordered the single size portion in some if not all cases. Case in point, she suggested 2 full size trays of garlic bread (which was horrible btw) and 3/4 of it was left over. I unnecessarily spent an exorbitant amount of money on a 6 person meal, trusted the receptionist and should have received better guidance when ordering that many things. when i called back 2 days later to express my feelings to the manager, he basically offered me a refund for the garlic bread, not taking any responsibility for being totally misguided. LP has been doing this for decades and should KNOW that the more the dishes, cut back on the portion sizes...... Had i received a bit more of a token gesture and a small apology, you wouldn't be reading this review. DG"

"Some of our favorite menu items include the walnut sauce, black pepper fillet with mushrooms, and shrimp with lobster sauce. When my friends and I want to indulge, we often order a bit too much and add Chow Fun as an extra dish! For appetizers, I typically go for the hot and sour soup, while my friends enjoy the egg drop soup. We also love the house shumai, spare ribs, and chicken salad rolls, not to mention the Lychee Martinis! The truffle fillet is another excellent dinner choice we've tried. We always say we’ll branch out and try new dishes, but we love our go-to favorites so much that we seldom do! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a fantastic Chinese dining experience with delicious food! You won’t be disappointed!"

"THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF DELIS. I wish that was an exaggeration, but I am NYC born and Queens-bred, so judging delis and bodegas is in my blood. Sabeli is 12/10 in every single category, every time I have ordered. I needed to write a review this time because on this occasion, I asked Ms. Michelle to re-create a sandwich I love from a restaurant in the city. She absolutely nailed it- it required caramelized onions which they do not have ready but they took the time to do it for me during their busiest hour of the day (1 pm lunch) and it's those little things that keep us going during our crazy days. Sabeli treats their customers like family, the quality of the food is unbelievable; perfect and fresh to order every time. The service is as fast as possible without compromising on courtesy, friendliness and professionalism. And for those who may be skeptical about the price, I assure you that given the sky-rocketing costs of everything their prices are still extremely competitive and reasonable and barely reflects the incredible quality of the food you get. Sabeli is worth every dollar and visit. Love this place!"

"Rerurned to Rare 650 tonight after a few years. Overall the dinner was ok. Not amazing but not terrible. I was surprised that they had openings every 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Ok, maybe it's a slow season after summer is over. We we seated right away, great : But got the worst table right by the kitchen path. So, every time someone passed by they hit the back of my chair without a word of apology. The drinks came afrer 25 min wait. Every table got a bread basket with butter, we didn't get any butter. At the middle of the meal the waiter came and took the olive oil bottle that was on the table, ok, they might've really needed it : Overall, the service was underwhelming. Nobody came to check on us after we ordered. Now to food. Starters were tuna watermelon ceviche and short rib wellington. Tuna had a little fishy taste and was so fatty, def not sushi-grade tuna. I left 90% of it untouched on the plate. Nobody even asked me why when they took my plate. Short rib wellington was ok. Short rib tasted good but the pastry was served on the side and didn't add anything to the dish. Entres were seared lamb chops, marimated skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and mushrooms. The lamb chops were really good, so were the mushrooms. The skirt steak ordered medium rare came out rare. Better than overdone. So, it wasn't sent back. It came with a weird bbq/ horseradish sauce which was so overpowering, so glad we ordered chimichurri. Drinks were good. Smoked old fashioned was very balanced and mild in bourbon flavor. The first drink came under the dome with the smoke comimg out of it, the second one was just delivered to the table with no presentation. I guess it was an ok meal, but considefing the price point and the restaurant's reputation, I expected much more."
