the reuben is so good. all vegetarian with many vegan options. not complaining about the grit.

This is one of my favorite Athens restaurants! The Golden Bowl could not be any better. : What a hometown jewel.

The Grit has so many vegan choices that I find it hard to choose. Ive had the noodle bowls, burrito, and seitan gyro. All have been fabulous. Ver carta

everything I eat here was delicious! the golden tofu wrap is sooo good and the sweet kartoffel frits are super crispy! also can be made vegan almost any meal. You have to eat here when you're in breath.

seriously delicious food!!! we got the rueben, med bowl, and lavender cake. the type of food that’s still tasty eaten straight out of the fridge two days later you know what i meannnn haha they nailed the flavors

You can't go wrong here! Vegan cakes and cupcakes are over the TOP! Tofu cubes can't be beat, I get the Golden Bowl almost every visit or pickup. Lots of outdoor seating with table service. Not a lot of mask-wearing these days, but they have been doing great over the pandemic otherwise. Ver carta

We loved this place. We had the reuben, the steak sandwich (a daily special , side salad with ranch, burrito and chocolate cake and everything was great. All the dressings are made in house and they are (almost? all vegan. The seitan was super thin shaved and packed with flavor. Vegan cheese upcharges on almost the whole menu which is the only downside.

i went here for my birthday and just let me tell you how delicious it was. my sister and i enjoyed a rueben sandwich, the mediterranean platter, and a slice of lavender lemon cake all vegan!! the rueben was on this very tasty swirled bread, and was ooey, gooey, and stunning. the platter had all of my favorite veggies taut the only thing was that the pita was kinda tough: but i would still get it againnnn. finally the cake was very good ofc! it was a lively birthday meal

the lunch and dinner menu is amazing! there are so many options and most of what’s not already vegan can be made vegan by just asking for no cheese or sour cream. my favorite is the golden tofu wrap. however, the brunch menu does not have many vegan options. i got he vegan quiche and it was way too salty and overpriced. edit: they changed the menu and got rid of some of the best sandwiches. the prices also went up and portions went down. you can tell some of the waiters/waitresses hate their jobs. this place has gone down hill, but the food is still good.
