"We arrived at 8 pm and were seated at a small table on the patio. The restaurant was busy but the tables were not all full. The lights were very bright and there were a ton of bugs everywhere. There was a musician playing a guitar and singing. He was ok but not great. The hostess brought us water and menus and told us our server would be there soon. A second hostess said the same thing a few minutes later. After waiting for 25 minutes with no server and nothing but water we started to discuss whether we should stay or go. We could not find anyone to talk to about our situation so after another five minutes we got up and walked out of the restaurant without encountering a manager, hostess or anyone. We always think that the Oaks sounds like a good idea but it never is. We ended up eating dinner at Popeyes at the nearby truck stop. We will never go back to the oaks again. It’s clearly being run poorly and they are down to a few, angry servers who scowl at and ignore a new table of guests. The menu is also pretty boring and basic. Nothing sounds that good and the prices are not cheap. This place is to be avoided."

We love the Oaks! Such a special place. We enjoyed our food and our server Athena was wonderful. Drinks were just ok this visit. One of our four meals was cold. But we will always come back it’s like no other restaurant.

Server forgot to put in our order. We had the frittatas from the brunch menu. They were not good at all. Free dessert given for troubles (berry pound cake and cheesecake) which was VERY good. Will try again but never ordering the frittata. Ver carta

Service was sl0w for everything .. 20 minutes to get cocktails.. 3 of 4 were incorrect.. The Oaks used to be the upscale restaurant in Medina County.. not any longer.. we were there at 5:00 and were NOT busy at all.. overall a very disappointing pricey dining experience.. will have to think twice before we return.

The Oaks has been one of our top restaurants we absolutely love and we always come for our special occasions. Food is excellent! Hubby had a Waygu stake that was superbly cooked, medium rare, perfect seasonings and of course, a lovely Merlot. Perfect sunset over the Chippewa lake completed a perfect BD celebration. Highly recommended.
